Toronto Raptors History

The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

Food service should be provided as it is impossible to maneuverer food and push a wheelchair in that kinda crowd. Disables should have the option to order from there seat or go get it. Just sayin!!

I had an amazing experience. I don’t have any regrets about choosing to celebrate my birthday by attending a Toronto Raptors game I received a We are the North T-shirt which was great. Also entry into the Scotia Bank Arena was seamless as was purchasing food and beverages.

  • Amazing Show!

by Jenn on 2024-11-18Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was honestly by far the best concert I’ve ever attended (and I’ve been to at least 50 concerts). Even if you aren’t a Taylor Swift fan, she is arguably one of the greatest entertainers of all time. I guarantee you will leave the concert amazed by what she can do.

  • Fun Night!

by Lola on 2024-11-18Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was worried that my seats in section 115 would not be a good sighting for the game, but I was completely wrong. I had the best time with my family at the game!

  • First nba game

by Mark da shark 3000 on 2024-11-04Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It was my first nba game and time inside Toronto other than the airport. Was cool seeing Lebron come out, atmosphere was awesome at that time. Was amazed with how many fans there were but also the diversity of the crowd was cool to see so many people from different backgrounds and regions all together enjoying such a great game. Liked traveling on the train very convenient, happy too of seen this game for my very first game and hopefully one of many. Ps travelled from novascotia to go see the game

  • Great Game - seats were broken though

by AN on 2024-11-04Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Lebron James can you say more - he’s the goat for a reason. Seats were nice view but they were broken (arm part of it was loose and fell off mid game).

  • Excellent experience and seats, but pricey

by EB on 2024-10-31Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

We splurged on amazing seats, section 108 row 17. Felt in the middle of the action, Raptors game was amazing! Walked away feeling that was a great evening! Fair warning drinks and food on the pricey side, glass of wine $25, hot dog $15, salad $20.

  • Amazing!

    by PandaMum18 on 2024-10-18Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Took my son to a preseason game against the Celtics. From the moment we entered you noticed the renovations. Beautiful! Definitely more room for people to move. Just wish, I'd thought ahead to get my sons name listed under birthdays. Great, nail biting game. Loved every minute! Let's go Raptors!!
