About

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are regarded as one of the very best live rock acts of all time. From humble New Jersey beginnings in 1972, they grew in popularity to become one of the true icons of American music. Hits such as “Born In The USA” and “Dancing In The Dark” cemented Bruce Springsteen as one of America's top popular rock vocalists. He's known for being one of the hardest-working acts in the industry, and concerts can regularly last three hours or more and tours often last years rather than months.
Bruce Springsteen began his musical career singing and playing in a number of bands in the New Jersey area in the mid-‘60s. Influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Cream, his musical style was both a reflection of his own tastes and of his blue-collar working-class American roots. The mix of old-fashioned rock and roll with a more progressive, often politically minded lyrical style soon began to build a cult following for Springsteen. By 1972 he was signed to a deal with Columbia Records, along with the E Street Band. The band's members changed now and then over the years, but the core members were Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg. Together they released their first album, Greetings From Asbury Park NJ, in 1972.
While they enjoyed tremendous success in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, they were launched into the megastar category with the release of Born In The USA in 1984. The album stormed the US charts, becoming one of the biggest-selling records of all time with over 30 million albums sold. Bruce Springsteen became an American pop-culture icon and the band enjoyed huge success worldwide with sold-out stadium tours and numerous top 10 singles.
In 1999 Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and over the years the act has won numerous Grammy and Golden Globe Awards while continuing to rock at sell-out shows the world over. Bruce has always remained true to his roots, often turning down offers from corporate advertisers wanting to use his music for profit. His music has truly captured the American spirit over the years, which is why he has remained a much-loved and consistently popular musician for such a long time. Away from his on-stage commitments he is an activist for equal rights and runs a charity called The Foundation which helps support war veterans and food banks.

    Amazing concert!

by Wendyfjgay61 on 2016-02-05Air Canada Centre - Toronto

As usual Bruce puts on an amazing show! Over 3 hrs without a break. Not bad for a 66 yr old (although he doesn't look it). Best moment was when he pulled an 88 yr old birthday girl up on stage to dance with him. The Boss doesn't disappoint!

One of my best concert experiences in 40 years

by BuAndDa on 2016-02-05Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The Boss was at his best, lots of energy and very personable. Not a big ego like a lot of other rock stars. Great set list. The show never dragged. Other good things: my son and I got into the ACC really fast... no line-up at the entrance we used, and no bothersome security checks, either. A nice change. Also, the air quality in the ACC during the show was amazingly good... I did not smell smoke of any sort. Finally, the crowd was respectful and well-behaved. I wish all my concert experiences could be this good.

    Best Concert Ever!!

by Soho69 on 2016-02-05Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Fans will know that, unless you were there, it'll be hard to describe what an amazing concert this was! The River has always been my favourite album, and to hear him sing every song, was unbelievable; and THEN to go on and sing another dozen songs....his energy, his charisma...it was such an emotional experience. I'll never forget it.

Amazing Night held by The Legend...The BOSS!

by Joesbroke on 2016-02-03Air Canada Centre - Toronto, Canada

I got one of those "thrills of a lifetime", yesterday as a part of my birthday festivities. This man is truly the working Dude's rocker. 66 now and won't stand still to let age catch-up to him. He put on 3 plus hours of intensity and told story after story of his life ... and therefore our (his audience's) lives. All of this wrapped up in some of the most recognizable, up-tempo, hard-driving, and best of all; LOVED music ever! All night long I laughed, pounded the seat. I danced and sang so much my throat still hurts. I sat beside a family of 3 men representing 3 generations and couldn't tell who was enjoying themselves more. Thanks to my Sweetheart for this special birthday, and most of all, Thanks BOSS.... thank-you so very much!

Springsteen and E Street still rockin the house...

by Gronk on 2016-01-20CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

Bruce and the band had plenty of energy. I was there when they toured The River in the early 80's. The sell out crowd really enjoyed the different range of pace, the stories....classic Bruce. It could have gone all night!

by msobocan on 2016-01-19CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

Whether you are a die hard fan or not, if you can only see one concert this year, it should be Bruce Springsteen. Over 3 hours of value entertainment starting with the entire "The River" album with almost every other favourite on top of that. The audience is engaged and entertained. Bruce and the band are energetic and become one with the audience. A must see event.

I've though for a while that I was too old for the "standing room on the floor" adventure ... after sitting for 3 songs in 3 hours, I was right.

It's been said that there are two types of people: those who love Bruce Springsteen, and those who've never seen him in concert. Do yourself a favor and attend his next show. Three hours of intense fan/performer experience

by Bigbaldguy on 2014-05-16Times Union Center - Albany

A great set list with a great mix of his songs and covers. The band was excellent as always and the energy and showmanship was high. The sound was very good and the crowd was very into the show. I've seen him 18 times yet he managed to play 11 songs that I had not seen him play before.
