Metallica was formed by drummer Lars Ulrich and singer/guitarist James Hetfield in Los Angeles in 1981; since then, their astonishing career milestones include winning eight Grammys and selling over 125 million albums worldwide, including the critically-acclaimed Master of Puppets (1986), often cited as one of the most important metal albums in history. However, they exceeded my expectations and put on a highly entertaining/energetic show!! These guys may be older but they still can put on a better show than anyone younger out there! Love that these guys are still doing their thing and remaining relevant in today's sad music industry. I'll definitely catch these guys again hopefully on their next tour. METALLICA FOREVER!!!!!

By the time Metallica was on, I think people were starting to get tired and what not, but still enjoying themselves. There were those odd d-bags, but you gotta expect that in a concert! I got banged up pretty good but Im not complaining!

Once again, the band proved why they are such a powerful force in music today. The energy they put into the show is still as strong as the first time I saw them in 92'! My wife and I were fortunate enough to experience the show from the snakepit which was beyond amazing! They truly appreciate the fans and show their appreciation well...looking forward to the tenth show and beyond!

by LonzoGonzo on 2017-08-20Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonSoon as we sat down from our trek up the mountain of stairs to nearly the very top of section DD, I noticed a lady with a few people crowded around her and she was ripping off tickets from a roll and handing them to these people. So I literally ran down the steps to see what was happening....BOOM upgraded from the far end to right up beside the stage...Freakin Awesome!!! But that was just the beginning... Metallica always seem to have a better show than the last one and this was no exception!!! Out in the open air with close to triple the crowd than I've stood with ever before, there was so much energy that my hair was standing on end... Metallica's new album is the best in years...Also thank you for "that" free album with the purchase of my tickets! Please come back another 15 times or so fellas...I'll be in the crowd belting out your tunes and pumping my fists in the air!!!!!

Good mix of new material with stuff like sad but true and Unforgiven One, could have done a second encore and played Ride the Lightning or Four Horseman though instead of the little talk after half the crowd left, hope they come back and play the new Rogers the acoustics are better there.
