About

Back in 2004, four lifelong musicians got together down in Florida. Even though they had traveled separate paths, similar lessons learned, wisdom earned, and dues paid united these gentlemen--Myles Kennedy [vocals, guitar], Mark Tremonti [guitar, vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums]--as Alter Bridge. Over the ensuing two decades, the band endured countless trials and tribulations, defied every odd, and rose to the head of the pack as a hard rock juggernaut, cementing a singular legacy by selling out arenas, gathering nearly 1 billion streams, inciting international acclaim, and quietly attracting a diehard audience. Beginning with the Top 5 entry of 2004's gold-certified One Day Remains, the band have scored six consecutive Top 20 debuts on the Billboard 200. Among a myriad of highlights, Guitarist Magazine applauded "Blackbird" for the "Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time," the ABIII single "Isolation" vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, 2013's Fortress received rare perfect scores from KERRANG! and Total Guitar, and Walk The Sky shook the Top Rock Albums Chart at #1. Beyond packing O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall, Classic Rock hailed 2022's Pawns & Kings as "the Rolls-Royce of Alter Bridge records" in a 4.5-out-of-5 star review. Plus, the latter LP garnered praise from American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Loudwire, while Billboard christened them "one of America's premiere hard rock quartets." Channeling the same hunger, the band continue to push themselves on their self-titled eighth full-length offering, Alter Bridge [Napalm Records]. It embodies everything they're known for such as the precise riffs, towering hooks, and solos that practically break guitar strings as they burst through the clouds.

Awesome show. Would go back any time. Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH was incridible. Venue's acoustic was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better concert. This concert made it my favorite concert I even been to.

  • Excellent!!

Relatively small venue with all the amenities- History has excellent sound stage and close visibility to make Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH an excellent experience and a deserving reflection of their talent. Would definitely reccommend and will be back there again!

  • AlterBridge is the best

by Goldirocks on 2023-02-15History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Saw AlterBridge for the first time at the sold out History club in Toronto Saturday! The sound was great and very loud; but I could clearly hear Myles’ and Mark’s beautiful voices above the chunky guitar riffs and epic solos! Bass and drums physically shook me to the core! You could tell that they are a well oiled professional machine and they played from a very good and varied repertoire from across their 20 year career together. They are the pinnacle of heavy melodic rock / metal in the 2000’s! I was disappointed that deserving cuts from The Last Hero and Walk the Sky were completely shut out; but I don’t envy the band having to pare down to a set of 16 songs, when they easily have twice or three times that many epic songs that could / should also make the set! That’s a big difference between them and Mammoth WVH who opened up. ABs songs are simply better - more mature musically, and they have a larger variety from which to balance a set! Wolfgang’s band was entertaining and quite obviously capable however, and he’s a likable talent. But nobody sings like Myles Kennedy can, and nobody has perfected the metal yet melodic shred like Mark Tremonti! Their voices blend so well together- with Myles 4 plus octave tenor and perfect pitch; combined with Marks smooth baritone! They played four songs from their new strong release album Pawns and Kings, with Mark actually giving Myles a break to sing ‘Stay’ from the album. Myles is so genuinely humble and seems almost shy in spite of his immense talent far exceeding most popular music stars of today’s pop, rap and rock scene. This just endears him more to us fans who appreciate a great artist when we see and hear one! He and the other main talent of the band Mark Tremonti, obviously really like each other and enjoy each other’s company on stage, sharing smiles and winks and fist bumps during the show. Meanwhile Brian Marshall plays a solid bass and ‘flip’ on the drums is great too, both being the glue to hold it all together! I was sad when it was over. These guys should be selling out the Scotiabank centre sized arena here like they do in Europe, but I am selfishly happy to have seen them up close! I left into the Toronto night, along with a few thousand other vocal fans, humming ‘Open your Eyes’ to myself- the final encore song. I went back home to the oblivious people in my life to which I want to yell ‘Open Your Eyes’! to this great great band! Can’t wait to see them again! 10 out of 10 for AB performance. Solid 7 out of 10 for Mammoth, who will no doubt expand on their output in the upcoming years!

Great show from Alter Bridge AND from Mammoth WVH in an intimate 2500 seat venue. Two A list bands for a $65 ticket? Can't go wrong!

  • Great Concert!

    by Adaru32 on 2023-02-14History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

About The Venue: It was my first time at this venue. Nice small place, but would definitely be a bit better if there was more seating available. As much as I love being on the floor and closer to the stage, me and my dad's feet were very sore about half-way through the event. About The Performances: The bands Mammoth WVH and Alter Bridge were wonderful and excellent! This was the most audience-engaging concert I've ever been to where almost everyone sang along with almost every Alter Bridge tune. Would definitely like to see these bands again if they ever come back to Ontario, Canada.

  • Greatest show on earth

This is the greatest group of top tier musicians, putting on one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen. This is a bucket list must see for ANYONE who listens to music. Period.
