Well done Barenaked Ladies, we really enjoyed the show. Great energy.
Had a blast! Took my daughter to her first show! It was fun to dance and sing a long to our favourites. These 4 are so charming and charismatic! Their storytelling was hilarious and their rendition of Whole Lotta Love was incredible. Canadian Icons!! XOXO
This was a fantastic show!! The band was even better than I could have hoped for. They played for 2 solid hours, sampling all of their albums including the newest, the venue was the perfect size, packed and super into it! I would definitely see them again!
Best concert ever. The music, the venue, the other visitors, made for a very enjoyable evening
Without the original signer the show really sucked. And their new music is not their style
My wife and I have seen BNL in Calgary since the days they played at Sparkys and they are always excellent. The Venue though, the seats where a little too close side to side and the fact the room is not sloped made it awkward to see when people started to dance. If people want to dance, no problem but I'd wish they’d put up a dance area like I've seen in the past. The acoustics where all right and I understand it’s a general purpose room so it’s not really great for anything. Maybe next time they’ll play the Jub, or Bella or some other venue more suited for music.
Awesome show. Acoustics were good and you could hear all the lyrics. The band was funny and upbeat really enjoying themselves. Nice sized crowd and lots of room to get drinks. Would highly recommend the Barenaked Ladies!
My husband and I got engaged the night of our first “Barenaked Ladies” concert and it was an evening of pure joy! Thirty two years later we once again were laughing the entire time and had a fantastic evening! The venue was great and we had excellent seats and the whole audience had a blast!
The band played too many newer songs which had the audience sitting for over half the show and I found BNL without Page just doesn’t have the same energy.
LOVED the BNLs! A great show. The BNL show saved the disappointing Rock the River 3 day show that followed. BNLsis the kind of group and performance Rock the River should be putting on.
I did not know Barenaked Ladies that much and Odds even less. This night was a revelation for me and I was also really impress by the musicianship. Those two band where excellent and sounded great.
It was a great show! I only wished they played more of their old music! Also, they needed signage for the merchandise tent as it hard to find at first.
Very well organized. BNL was 🔥🔥🔥 as usual. Will definitely go back.
The Odds opened and did a great job of getting the crowd pumped up. Barenaked Ladies were everything I expected and then some. The whole group is multi-talented and entertaining. Both bands played a mix of old and new. I was happy to hear my old favorites and will be looking to find more of their great new hits to come.
I love seeing a concert in the Bess gardens! The staff at the gate was fast and friendly; staff there adjusting the rows of chairs as they were being set up were great - made it easy to get in and out. BNL and the Odds were GREAT!! My only one suggestion is that the Booze venue needs a non-alcoholic beer option … there’s so many great options out there!
They played way too many usless songs and covers.. WTH Guys? People paid to see you play BNL hits and maybe a few new ones. I feel a bit ripped off. Great venue though.
The bands themselves were absolutely fantastic. The Odds absolutely killed it and my only complaint about their set was they didn't do their 1993 hit "Heterosexual Man" but they played a lot of other great songs and you can only play so many at one show and due to the fact they were playing in Saskatchewan they broke out the Corner Gas theme, it was overall a GREAT set. Then on to Barenaked Ladies I've seen them before and they never put on a bad show, was great to hear a lot of the early stuff along with the newer stuff, and that Whip It/Whole Lotta Love medley they finished the main set was just perfect. Enjoyed the fact that they played The Big Bang Theory theme song keeping in the theme with playing sitcom themes like The Odds and Corner Gas. My only complaint was not related to the music but rather the venue, I did not enjoy having to stand in line for a drink ticket in order to be able to purchase a soft drink, usually that's only required for alcoholic beverages. Great show just wish I didn't have to stand in two separate lines to get a Dr Pepper. All things considered if you get a chance to see either band make sure you take that chance, and venues you need to have a better system for dispensing soft drinks.
The Besborough was a great venue and the band sounded amazing live! They were very interactive with the crowd and played a perfect blend of new music alomg with the classic hits! Nothing to complain about
The band was awesome!! For the event planners.. Why is the merchandise tent in the middle of the seating area?? Why do you need to wait in a long line to get food tickets then wait in another line to get food, then wait in another line to get drinks?? Even if it’s just a water and pop?? Other than the speedy ticket scanning to get in, the organizers for this event were far below elementary level. Very disappointed and embarrassed.
