About

"Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album."

    Totally Mind Blowing!!!!

by Dewser on 2012-06-07Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

My wife and I went to the Bonnie Raitt concert at the beautiful Landmark Theater in Syracuse and were totally entertained. To start with, Bonnie had a special guest opening for her. Mark Cohn, this guy is incredible. What an incredible entertainer. Then Bonnie came out and gave us a show that we will be talking about for years to come. We have not been this entertained since we went to see Neil Diamond back in the 80's. I would go see Bonnie Raitt again and again. She is truly a wonderful entertainer and a lovely person. I was so taken by the fact she was touched by the ovation we gave her. Bonnie, you are the best!!!!

A fabulous concert! Bonnie's voice was terrific and her slide guitar playing was great. And what a superb band with her. She just seems to love her audience and it was sure mutual. And she looks terrific! Topped off by a wonderful theater.

    Bonnie R and Randall B

by Dogspy on 2009-10-26House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle Beach

HOB Myrtle Beach North is a great venue for a show. Great sound, lighting, ambiance, size. Randall Bramlett is a legend and he and his band were spot on. Very good reception for his set. Great tune up for Bonnie. She and her band were not expecting very much from such a small crowd. Females outnumbered males but she lit it up and the crowd could not get enough of her. She brought out Randall and they had some great duets. First class show in a first class venue. Highly recommended.

    Simply the Best

by Zest on 2009-10-24House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle Beach

Third time I've seen Bonnie and each time gets better, but then I've been a fan for 15 years or more. I thought the House of Blues venue would be particularly great to see Bonnie. Room for about 2000, roadhouse type atmosphere, you could have a beer during the concert, something that you can never do in Ontario. The venue was everything I had thought it'd be. I stood in the pit about 15 feet from Bonnie during the entire concert. She seems to like these smaller, more intimate venues. THe first time I saw her was at Massey Hall in Toronto, another smaller venue. She played for about 2 hours covering early and new material, from Streetlights "Angel From Montgomery" to Souls Alike "God Was In The Water". She played most of her big hits but for me missed "Fear of Falling" which is one of my favourites. IMHO she is a blues legend and doesn't get the attention or air-play that she deserves. Her band is really tight and you get a full value evening from them. Would I drive a 1000 miles to see her again....damn right I would.

If you like great music and honest fun performers, try to catch the BonTaj Roulet Tour with Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal. I caught up to them in the Las Vegas House of Blues and they put on a fantastic show.

    BonTaj Roulet the best

    by Seagull on 2009-09-17Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

BonTaj Roulet was probably the best concert I have been to. She sang my favorite songs: "I can't Make You Love Me" ,"Your Good Thing", "Thing Called Love", "Nawing on it." so many sweet renditions of song of hers I love so much.... She sang the songs like they were her children that she was so proud of. It was delicious emotive and intimate and fun and inspirational. All the musicians were fab. Bonnie is such a gracious performer. Taj is a great entertainer. The whole evening was fantastic.

    We loved Bonnie

by DooDee on 2009-09-07McMenamins Historic Edgefield Manor - Troutdale

The day was warm. No rain in the forecast. Waited in a very long line up. Hot sun. Tho we were 30 mins early for the gates to open we still did not get as close as we'd have liked. We were behind the reserved seats. No that vantage would have been better to see. We were in front of the tent that was private it looked like. complete with tables, and a private porta pottie of it's own. While seated on the grass even with binocs. I could not see Bonnie. (Such a small woman up on that stage) She was great. Irritating/drunk people around us. Next time will opt for the reserved seats. Guess we're getting old...... Potties clean and smelled like Juicyfruit!!

    amazing

by winnipegers1 on 2009-08-31Minnesota State Fair Grandstand - St Paul

The entire show was a class act. The combination of musicians created a magical evening for a group of us who came from Winnipeg to see this concert. It was awesome from start to the grande finale and beyond (we loved the fireworks). We felt honoured to have been able to see these two icons of the music world, and their talented teams.
