BOY GEORGE IN CONCERT:
In an era where synthesizers and drum machines dominated the pop charts, Boy George defied the mainstream and created a counterculture with his distinct, soulful vocals and androgynous style. As the frontman of new wave band Culture Club, he entertained audiences around the world with rock and reggae-infused tracks, becoming one of pop's most enduring icons with his bold makeup and eccentric stagewear. Itâs been eighteen years since his last solo release, and fans will be delighted to know that George will return to the spotlight in 2014 for the This Is What I Do Tour, complete with a nine-piece band, including a brass section, and plenty of glamour.Â

Boy George rose to fame as the intriguing lead singer of Culture Club, which found commercial success with the release of their 1982 debut album Kissing To Be Clever. The record featured the international No. 1 hit âDo You Really Want To Hurt Me?," launching the band to global stardom virtually overnight. Culture Club continued their chart run with âKarma Chameleon," the second single off their sophomore album Colour By Numbers, earning them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1984. Boy George started his solo career in the late â80s with the release of Sold, which produced several hit singles and compelled George to form his own record label, More Protein, in 1989. Over the course of his decade-spanning career, the mercurial George has reinvented himself numerous times, finding success as a DJ, fashion designer, and Tony Award-winning producer for the musical "Taboo." Hot on the heels of the 2013 release of his ninth studio album, he'll grace fans once again with his legendary showmanship on the 2014 This Is What I Do Tour.
What a great band! They played all their famous songs! Georgie, Roy and Mickey were very happy and gave everything on the stage!!The auditorium is small and a lot of people were sitting in their chairs not enjoying the vibe and great atmosphere!
Hope they come back soon! I wanted to drive to Quebec the next night to see them again! Just as amazing as they were in 1984 when I saw them last! đ

I enjoyed Culture Club immensely. Boy George looked amazing and he had a great sense of humour. I didn't want the performance to end. I would definitely attend another show

Boy George can still sing! His show was casual, interactive, he was super friendly, made us feel like he was chatting with friends. Lots of fun! Casinorama should improve their concession stands.

Rama is a great venue for sound and intimacy. Boy Georgeâs voice is still amazing and Culture Club great musicians (all the performers on stage).

Boy Geoge, was amazing, He sounded great. So amazing to live our teen years. The 80's music was the best.
Boy George was SO interactive with the audience and it really felt like he was there to entertain us. I would have.liked it to be a little longer...total set time including encore was only abour 100 minutes. Also, his.musoc is so good he doesn't need to cover Bowie or Arnold Palmer.
This show was so amazing, I have loved the Thompson Twins and Culture Club since I was a teenager in the 80's. To get a chance to see them both on one night made my 13 year old self jump with joy. There wasn't a single moment I wasn't in awe. It even made it cooler that the first song Boy George sang was a David Bowie cover. Truely a bucket list night!
I love how his voice has grown even richer and listening was like being back in high school again but what truly amazed me was just how congenial he was between songs! Very very entertaining
This evening was pure joy! From the moment they entered onstage to the end of the encore, I was on my feet with a huge smile on my face. Culture Club put on a fantastic show, playing oldies plus new music. George appeared so happy as he interacted with the crowd, and Roy and Mikey waved to individual fans genuinely enjoying the night. Thanks for a great show!!!
Boy George feels every bit as relevant to me today as he did when I first became aware of him as a 14 year old in 1982. With a strong voice and great stage presence, he had our rapt attention all evening. Audience participation was also great, everyone was clearly having a magnificent time. Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins opened, and he was also very good.
Great set including Bowie & Palmer covers. Loved Boy George's witty banter between each song. Great evenings entertainment.
