A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

  • Dancing up a storm with flock of seagulls

Great to see FOS live after 30 years! Some good new tunes. Loved the old ones! Sound system needed adjusting; the bass drowned out the voices. Overall a fun concert.

  • Give us more!

by Gray and Tray on 2024-11-10Great Canadian Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

Great show, so much energy, front of the stage was just rocking! Brilliant to hear the old songs mixed in with new releases! More bands from the 80's should join the tour! Will go again that's for sure.

  • Sound Quality

The vocal sound quality was terrible & audience were dead for their non hit songs.

  • Men without hats rock, flock of seagulls - ok

by KRM on 2024-11-10River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Men Without Hats stole the show. Energetic, fun, engaging!!! Wasn’t a fan before but I am now.. I went to see Flock of Seagulls initially but the were disappointingly boring.

  • FOS?-OK... MWH? WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE!!!

by Shep on 2024-11-09River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

ONLY reason for 4 Stars is because Men Without Hats followed and made the entire evening worthwhile. Rather than ranting on the negative, I will say that MWH should break from the Flock and fly solo. They still have a huge following and even more recent material is fun to groove to. Ivan is completely engaging and entertaining!! What a fun way to complete the night feelin' the 'SAFETY'!!! Would have scored even lower if I rate the Venue. Stage and Setting were great but preshow and intermission were grossly understaffed, huge lines for drinks and announcements for show start were non-existent or way too quiet to be heard. in what would do you have one person taking orders, pouring mixed drinks AND running cash??? C'mon River Rock!

  • Worth Going

by Baz on 2024-11-09River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Great night - Flock of Seagulls where good (should have played their more well known songs earlier to get the crowd going) - slight issue with the sound as well - buzz in the background for their sets. FoS energy was a little subdued. Men without hats where fantastic - when they started their set the atmosphere took off and energy of the building was electric.

  • 2 out 3 ain't bad

by regger on 2020-03-08River Cree Resort & Casino - EnochRating: 3 out of 5

Spoons and Men without Hats were awesome. I have NEVER seen so many people leave a concert than after 5mins of Flock of Sea Gulls. Or should be Seagull. 1 man (other than help from the Spoons guitarist) and his keyboard. Disappointing to say the least.

  • Flock Of Seagulls with Guest Men Without Hats, The Spoons

by By the way, which one is Pink on 2020-03-05Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 4 out of 5

The Spoons started the show and reminded us of how great the 80's where and how it was a great time to be alive. They played a number of their hits and overall, reminded me of moments of my youth. Then Men Without Hats came on stage. Ivan Doroshchuk is looking 62. I first I though George Carlin had returned from the dead to lead us in song. The Hats when right into Safety Dance and Doroshchuk showed right away that his energy has anything but improved with age. He played hit after hit. I had forgotten how many hits they had, Pop Goes The World, I Got A Message, I Like..etc. He even did a Stones cover of 2000 Light Years From Home. It was nothing less than amazing. I never saw the Hat's when I was younger, but I am glad I had the chance to catch them. The Flock Of Seagulls had a touch act to follow. The dark lyrics of the Seagulls, lacked much of a dance beat and it really went from high energy to low energy. However, most of the audience waited for the two main hits, I Ran and Wishing ... It was good to see them, but I wish we had ended with the Hats..

  • Flock of ?@!&!!

by Disappointed on 2020-03-03Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 1 out of 5

The Spoons were excellent. They sounded fantastic and put on a show. Ivan was over the top entertaining and played the hits, great show. Flock of Seagulls were terrible. They should have stayed home. The sound was so bad we left after four songs - I’ve never walked out of a concert before but this was painful.

  • Spoons and Men without Hats are legendary

by Ciradin on 2020-03-03River Cree Resort & Casino - EnochRating: 4 out of 5

Utterly blown away by the outstanding show put on by the Spoons and Men without Hats. Retro 80s at its finest but somehow not at all dated. Just amazing fun. But...Flock of Seagulls was a dud. Zero charisma. Dull, grumpy and seemingly oblivious to the audience. Concert went from standing on its feet rocking out...to piling out the doors after three songs from Flock. Would see Spoons and MwH again in a heart beat. Couldn’t pay me to see FoS.
