  • Multi- talented group

by URICKENT on 2015-06-29Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

Seen these guys over the years and they never cease to amaze me. All members old and new are so very multi- talented on the various instruments and vocals- and still make each show fresh. I will always get tickets for the wife and I when they are in the neighbourhood.

  • Chicago is still unbelievably fantastic!!!

I would not ever miss Chicago whenever they came to town. The sound was brilliant - from the crisp vocals to their great instruments, they are definitely a well-oiled band. Pure perfection, in my opinion. Even though all 9 band members are great, I really love the horn section with my favourite being Jimmy Pankow on trombone - such incredible talent and character. They played for about 2 hours, and almost every moment was rocking! SO, SO good, and worth every dollar for sure. Keep on going for as long as you can, guys. You're as great as you were all those years ago - truly one of the greatest bands of all time!!!!!!

Was not the best concert Chicago has put on... I think they really missed the input of their lead singer Peter... Instrumental's were very good...

  • Chicago takes us on a trip down memory lane

by laureeO on 2015-06-22Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

When you think that Chicago has been around for 45 years, it's was incredible to hear how great all the band members still sound. This is a band with longevity. Although only 4 /5 are founding Chicago band members, three band members have been with them since the late eighties/early nineties. The musicianship of the band was something to hear with almost all of the band members switching effortlessly between instruments. Chicago played for 2 1/2 hours straight. Near the end of the concert, the audience was standing at the stage 4 deep while everyone else was up and dancing and singing along. The energy was high and everyone went away with a smile on their face. Brought back many memories of singing along in my early teens. :) Thank you Chicago!

As a teenager growing up in the 1970's, Chicago was a very popular band at that time. Fear of any1970's/80's bands playing the casino circuit is that they will be mere shadows of what once was. Not Chicago. They were fantastic. Music and singing was very close to the original versions. 9 people in the band...including trumpet, trombone, sax. They played all best favorites....Searchin' So Long, Old Days and ended their encore with fabulous version of 25 or 6 to Four.

  • Great show

by MAC123 on 2015-06-22Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago put on an amazing show, they brought a great deal of energy to their performance and played extremely well. We particularly enjoyed all the solos that showcased their talent! They clearly still enjoy doing concerts and expressed a lot of appreciation to the audience. My only regret is that I didn't bring my original Chicago Transit Authority LP along for an autograph!

  • Chicago still sound great

Chicago's muscianship is still fantastic. They've got some new members with strong voices so they still sound the same vocally. They played for over 2 hours!

Excellent show but was billed with Earth Wind and Fire and they were no show!

  • Chicago played the hits and more...

by AuthorityOnChicago on 2015-06-22Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago played the hits with eagerness and professionalism. Plus, they included some less expected songs for the dedicated fan, including "Now," "Introduction" and "Another Rainy Day in New York City." I'm glad that they now play "Street Player" in their set -- always a disco highlight! And the solo keyboard segment, with Jason Scheff, Robert Lamm and Lou Pardini taking turns at the mike, is a keeper.

  • Always a crowd pleaser

The group Chicago has long since been one of my favorites and Friday night was a perfect example of why. Great musicians, great music having fun doing what they love!! They played for over 2 hours and took us all on a trip down memory lane. Great night!! Loved the scaled back few songs they did with just the keyboard and couple other instruments.

The venue was perfect, not too big, our seat were well located for the price and the theater has very good acoustic . Chicago performance was out of this world!

Had a great date night, enjoying a great performance by Chicago. River Rock is a very intimate theatre to enjoy any band, Chicago filled this place with a strong performance. Good musicianship, animated showmanship and it seemed everyone in the audience enjoyed themselves.

  • I was blown away!

Chicago was great! Having so many hits, the concert was a fun trip down memory lane right from the start! With 9 members all playing multiple instruments, it was like listening to a rock orchestra! Definitely a must-see in my books!

  • Chicago was simply amazing!!!

Saw Chicago at the Riverrock, Richmond. Absolutely loved the show. They played nonstop for almost 2 1/2 hours. Sounded amazing. One hit after another! They looked like they were having as much fun as the audience. Very talented singers and musicians. I felt honoured to see them in a smaller venue!!! Highly recommend seeing them-- We may fly to another city to see them again!

  • One of the best ever attended.

by Blaster on 2015-06-21River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 1 out of 5

Four of the original band from the 60's. The sax, slide trombone, trumpet are all around 70 years old, but never missed a beat. Their stage performance was nothing but spectacular. The solo's were stellar, the whole band took turns singing and their voices were strong and true to their original songs. Their stage performance during the hole evening kept you totally captive. Definitely will go again if they come back (never said that before). One of the best concerts we have ever attended.

  • Chicago were brilliant!!

  • Chicago........simply amazing

by WinnipeGary on 2014-04-30The Sanford Center - BemidjiRating: 5 out of 5

My fourth experience seeing these legends live on stage and they didn't disappoint. Incredible full renditions of Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon and Introduction made the evening all the more spectacular. It was a treat to have Jimmy, Walt and Lee (original horn section) performing together. The small crowd didn't seem to faze these pros, they gave their all. See them while you can, there will never be another Chicago.
