  • Chicago at the top of their game!!!!

by West637 on 2014-03-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was simple but dynamic for a solo performance. Tim had a great voice. Chicago was spectacular from the opening number to the final encore. They are truly one of the Greatest bands of all time. They played their classic hits to perfection. Each note hit you in your chest. These guys haven't missid a beat, even with some staff changes. They all still have their vocal chops as well. As a life long Chicago fan I was blown away!!!!

  • Chicago in Ottawa

by Denvail on 2014-03-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

This was an excellent concert, from Tim Stop opening act to the final tune. The band was in top form, and this especially for a group that has been together for over 40 years!

  • Chicago played all the old songs.

by Anonymous on 2014-03-05Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

The show lasted over 2 hours & was filled with all their hits which were done the way they were released. A great show with energy & sound to the max.

  • Chicago NAC

After 45 years and some 'considerable' personnel changes, the core of Chicago remains intact. Close your eyes..."Peter who"? The band rocks with a contagious enthusiasm...energy abounds... and every member thoroughly in appreciation of the music and the audience...in fact, one might say they are 'Feeling stronger everyday..." Simply....a great concert.

  • Chicago concert Mar 2.2014

I took my son to the concert with me and we had excellent seats and the concert was amazing. The band was high energy and played every song that you would have expected. We were on our feet dancing and clapping.

  • A young guy seeing Chicago for first time

by CamG on 2014-03-05Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

I grew up listening to Chicago, earth wind and fire, zappacosta many years before I could drive with a part of my family whole loved this music. Years later I collected CDs and mp3s and grew a large Chicago collection. For years I kicked around seeing them, but because it was weekdays they played and not thinking the music could really be like I listened to it. How could a band pushing 70 really sound great? Then the sat night concert came up and I bout tickets. This concert has blown me away. A solid 2 hours this band pounded on every instrument imaginable to identically recreate the incredible sound I knew to be Chicago. Consider the physical endurance of this and it was unreal! Luckily I brought a friend who knows instruments well and told me the finer details of the talent required to play the trumpet at an older age, the difficulty of switching reed instruments and playing them back to back etc. we talked to many people walking out and later on together and discussed the BIG names we had seen in concert over the years and this one hands down for the sound, technical ability and sound was likely number one. ..... And we saw it for 65 each!!! I'm still blown away. Knowing what I know now I would pay easily 200 a ticket to see Chicago again however I will likely not for fear or ruining this amazing memory. Well done!!!!!

  • Chicago made my night.

I was totally blown away by their performance, they move on stage , the light show made for the amazing colour effect. I though that the band was quite generous with the fans taking time during the performance to have their pictures taken and shaking hands. Totally awesome show, i'm glad I had a chance to see them play here at the NAC instead of the Canadian tire venue.

  • Chicago was great...venue was horrible

by trump98 on 2014-03-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

The audio was horrible. couldn't hear anything spoken and most lyrics you couldn't understand despite knowing the words. Chicago as usual was awesome but unfortunately the venue let us down.

  • Chicago - What A Great Nostalgic Experience

Chicago was awesome; the sound was incredible and Casino Rama is a great venue!!!

  • Better than Expected

by Dongeeson on 2014-03-04Casino Rama - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

Painfully loud & distorted If Chicago were a set of dentures, you could say they're missing a big tooth, namely Peter Cetera's amazing vocals. If Chicago could: 1) add someone that could replicate Peter Ceteras' sound 2) invest in better sound mixing equipment 3) add a great sound technician(s) I believe they would have a show we could all rave about. I rated the show I saw a 3 however if the choice were available it would actually be 2.5 stars.

My 1st time to see Chicago. Even though they are not all original members, show was superb. Brass section was amazing. Overall, a 10 out of 10!!!!

  • Chicago extrordinaire

by Redjay on 2014-03-04Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

What a great concert, awesome music and so professional They played almost 2 and 1/2 hours as well. When we left we were totally satisfied.

  • Sorry, too loud for me

    by Jazman3 on 2014-03-04Casino Rama - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

Are all sound engineers now certifiably deaf? I love Chicago but found the band way too loud for proper enjoyment. There were also a few borderline tunes that could have been cut. Still, the group's musicianship, energy and enthusiasm continue to impress after all these years.

  • Chicago was fantastic!!!

by Anonymous on 2014-03-04Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicago concert at Rama was truly amazing. The music was fantastic and the members of the band made it seem like they were thrilled to be there and playing for us. There enthusiasm and excitement were infectious. The concert was over two hours long. Just fantastic!!!!!

  • Chicago...So GOOD !

by evike on 2014-03-02Credit Union Place - SummersideRating: 5 out of 5

The staff at the centre was friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. The venue was small and intimate. Chicago was energetic and played as if to a crowd of ten thousand or more. I would see them again in a heart beat. We drove from NS to PEI to see them and would do it all again.

  • Chicago was the most historical event.

    by LadyQueen on 2014-03-02Rogers K-Rock Centre - KingstonRating: 5 out of 5

I went with my daughter and we had the best time that night. Our seats where great and the sound was just right. Everything was just amazing. The show was a double event show with a 20 min break. This gave us time to go out and pick up mechandise and some drinks.

  • by Anonymous on 2014-03-01Rogers K-Rock Centre - KingstonRating: 5 out of 5

Even though they have new band members, this concert brought me back to my teenage years...the sound was rich..the music was great, and the venue was perfect

  • So much time...too few hits!

    by Steffan on 2014-03-01Rogers K-Rock Centre - KingstonRating: 2 out of 5

The show began with an opening act. Then, was split into two sets, the first of which featured only three recognizable songs. Then a 20 minute break before they got to the good stuff. Way too long to wait to hear what the fans really came to hear! This was a weeknight concert and people had to go to work the next day. Didn't end until 11:00 p.m. And, I have seen many, many concerts with a variety of bands. Have never seen so much blatent self-promotion. I've never had to be encouraged to clap for solos or for great performances. But, all night long, the individual band members felt the need to "defer" to each other, wanting the audience to acknowledge the performances. The show could have done away with the opening act (he was good, but he talked more than he sang) and cut out the first set altogether. They could have jam-packed one set and people would have left raving about the show. You know the saying "always leave them wanting more"? Chicago could take a lesson from that. I was glad when it was over.

  • Chicago was great

    by Nicky53 on 2014-03-01Rogers K-Rock Centre - KingstonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was very good my husband, sister and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend it to anyone that remembers Chicago. The lead singers voice was a little off the first half of the show, but by the second half he was hitting the higher notes. The rest of the band members were amazing with their vocals and the horn section was out of this world. I was very impressed with the opening act Tim Stop and will look him up on the internet and buy his CD

  • Chicago one of the best concerts you will see.
