    Awesome

by thankyougum on 2009-12-21Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The show was amazing. So much energy, in the band and in the show. The only blemish was the fact that the upper levels were so hot that people actually left during the show so they wouldn't faint. But honestly - the band was good enough that most people didn't care.

    I love Franz Ferdinand

by franzferdinandfan on 2009-09-14The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

The show was great. It seemed like an eternity until Franz Ferdinand actually appeared on stage, but once they did, it was magic. They played a long show and kept the energy levels high the entire song. They are better live than on their cd.

    Excellent show

by AndielovesFranz on 2009-09-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

What an awesome show. Franz Ferdinand sounds just as good live as they do on cd. The venue was small and very personal. I loved, loved, loved this concert. After the show I made sure to purchase all the albums that I didn't own.

    FRANZ FERDINAND!!!

by clodtrainjessie on 2009-09-09Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

the opening band was less-than stellar, but once Franz got out there it was magic! We waited for over an hour while they did sound check after sound check, but the band sounded so good and a great time was had by all! It was one big club out there in the rain and the beauty of Stanley Park's Malkin Bowl. Best way to end my summer by far!

    Franz Ferdinand rocked the place!!!!!

by Studenten on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

A fantastic concert. One of the best I've been at for a long time. The band was very fired up and gave an unforgettable concert at Malkin Bowl. I will definately be there if Franz Ferdinand plays BC again and will highly recommend going to a concert if Franz Ferdinand is visiting an area near them, even if they are not huge Franz Ferdinand fans.

They rocked out in the rain

by Franzine on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

The show was great. They were glad everyone came out in the rain and played just enough of their old and new beats to satisfy everyone. They were fun and sounded very good live.

    Franz Ferdinand was fantastic

by milkmanofhumankindness on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

This was a fantastic show. Music was incredible of course, and the band was tight--they played as a true ensemble, which was impressive in itself. It was really just an excellent show, even in the rain. I only wish they'd have played "The Fallen" and "Eleanor Put Your Boots Back On," but that is, I suppose, a minor complaint. I can't wait to see them again.

Franz Ferdinand: The Best Night of My Life.

    by katrina782 on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

I'll be fair and let you know that Franz Ferdinand is my all-time favourite band, but that is definitely not the reason that I adored the show. They came it with full energy, backed by unmistakable talent and a varied setlist (see below). The guys are not afraid to interact with the crowd, and often came to the front of the stage to add excitement and personality (and to get everyone all hot and bothered, in my opinion). I will leave the rest for you to discover for yourselves, but be prepared for: a four man drum solo, some feel-good, upbeat songs, well-presented music (recording studio-esque, but with a lot of extra spice) and four very attractive men who clearly love what they do.

    Franz rocks

by bigBobby on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

The band was awesome and the sound was awesome. Rain didn't matter. Whoever organized the lighting needs to rethink it. What happened to the opening act?

Franz Ferdinand worth dancing in the rain

by cheekymonkey on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

It was cold and wet but the concert was great. The bands energy was contagous, the park was full of people singing along and jumping up and down. Played a great set list.

Franz Ferdinand went above and beyond!!

by HoopsFanTim on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

On a damp and rainy evening these guys were unbelievable. Their sound was great, as a band they are extremely tight. They even managed to use their surroundings to full advantage, with steam rising off the crowd up front the minimalist light show they had set up took on a whole effect of its own. Great concert! I have never had more fun standing around in the rain.

    Franz Ferdinand in Saskatoon

by siebs111 on 2009-09-08The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

I never thought I'd see Franz Ferdinand in such a small, intimate venue. The Scottish rockers put on a high energy show that had the crowd pumping. AMAZING!!

Franz Ferdinand is my new favorite band

by tylersan on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Franz Ferdinand performed last night in Vancouver, at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park. They put on a great show, had the crowd with them the whole way, and just really rocked it. Great energy, that fed off the crowd, who stood in the rain to see the lads from Glasgow. The band appreciated it and gave us a great rock show.

Wet & Wonderful with Franz Ferdinand

    by catsmeow820 on 2009-09-08Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Alex began the show by acknowledging that only people from Vancouver and Glasgow would stand out in the rain for a rock & roll show, at which point the rain became a downpour! However, the weather could not dampen the spirits of the audience, as the band launched into the latest single, "No You Girls." The band proceeded through their discography, being sure to include hits from all three albums. Each song flowed flawlessly, connected by conversation from the band. Previous to leaving the stage for a break, they treated us to a drum solo - performed by all four band members! Only a great band can entertain a crowd so thoroughly that the audience can forget the cold and rain of a Vancouver evening! Good on ya, guys!

    Franz good, Odeon bad!

by Sopzman on 2009-09-07The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

The show itself was very entertaining! Unfortunately someone in charge thought 35 degrees was a comfortable temperature for a concert. My group was very close to leaving and would have if the show hadn't been as good.

    spectacular!!!!

by franzfaned on 2009-09-07Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Even though it rained pretty much through the whole show it didn't stop the crowd or the band. We didn't even notice the rain. The set ROCKED - all the hits from all their albums!!! I would definitly go to a Franz show again.
