About

With over 20 years of chart-topping success, the Boson rock band has cemented themselves as 21st-century hard rock titans. To date, they've accomplished a staggering 11 #1 singles at mainstream rock radio, including "Bulletproof," "Unforgettable," "When Legends Rise," and "Under Your Scars," all from the band's most recent album. Additionally, they've enjoyed 20 Top 10 hits at the format-the most of any act since February 1999-as well as four Grammy nominations, and were named Billboard Music Award's Rock Artist of the Year in 2001. Selling over 20 million records worldwide, the band has released seven studio albums; Godsmack (1998), Awake (2000), Faceless (2003), IV (2006), The Oracle (2010), 1000hp (2014), and When Legends Rise (2018).

In 2023, the Massachusetts-bred quartet will take a victory lap with their eighth studio album Lighting Up the Sky, dropping one more classic album as they ascend into the celebratory portion of their career. The powerful storytelling of Lighting Up the Sky covers boy-meets-girl, obstacles in relationships, the polarized political climate and the state of the world, betrayal, connection, rebounds, and more.

GODSMACK is Sully Erna (vocals, guitar), Tony Rombola (guitar), Robbie Merrill (bass), and Shannon Larkin (drums).

  • Godsmack

by Fangsa on 2011-09-03Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Godsmack was great. They took a large space and made it small with intimate exchanges. There were no video recordings or photos, even by them, and no pyrotechnics. The highlight of the night was an amazing drum battle that brought everyone back to their tribal roots and had everyone in the pit dancing around each other. We rocked each other pretty hard!

  • Godsmack was fan f**nin tastic

Amazing show!! Great stage presence and a great crowd.

  • Godsmack blew the roof off the place

by tjoosse on 2011-09-02Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The opening band for the show wasn't my favorite, however on a good note the seventeen year old guitarist was amazing!! Then godsmack came out to for those about to rock great way to pump up the crowd before they hit the stage. Godsmack kicked ass and were just plain amazing

  • Seen then once seen them a thousand times

Show was almost identical to previous one i went to earlier this year. The fans in regina were way more...... Uninviting.

  • Godsmack was ok

I have seen these guys a few times and I think that this was one of the not so good shows. They didn't have the pyro or the lights and the show was under 90 mins. Maybe I'm just bias to a few songs but they didn't play a lot of my favs like Greed, Whiskey Hangover or Re-Align. It was basically the same set list when they were here 2 years ago except they added a few of the Oracle album. I will definitely see them again but I thought this performance was meh...

  • Godsmack really deliver

by warrenb on 2011-09-02Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I was not really sure what to expect, thinking it would be too heavy. These guys were brilliant, both as performers and as musicians. If you get a chance to see these guys, don't miss them.

Godsmack never fails to put on a show that will blow you away everytime! I saw them open for Metallica back in 2004 and I was hooked on them, this was the first time I saw them headline and I will be going to see them as many times as I can. The mosh pit was insane and Sully knows how to work the crowd. Best bang for your buck.

  • Great "batalla de los tambores"

I had a great time! Shannon Larkin is a great drummer and I would go see them again. Opening band was not that good.

  • Godsmack was awesome!

I have waiting five years to see Godsmack headline a concert in Calgary and they did not disappoint. I would say this is the best concert I have been to and I've been to a lot of concerts. I will be going to see them again if they come back to Calgary!

Sully commands the stage, great live band. Great energy, one of the best concerts of the year. Opening band Red Jumpsuit Appartus was awful, they weren't ready for a live performance.

  • by onkie on 2011-09-01Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was good the crowd wasn't really into it though even the singer for Godsmack had to get the crowd to get into it.

  • WOW!

Godsmack was unfucking believeable! but being paired with red jumpsuit aparatus was a bad idea.

  • good..for Regina

by didukickmydog on 2011-09-01Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 2 out of 5

Besides the fact that our tickets were in a section that was closed off due to an obstruction on the stage and we weren't notified or offered different seats, the show was good. The crowd was likely smaller than what the band would have preferred, but they powered on and put on a great performance.

  • Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

    by Musicgirl35 on 2011-08-31Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

It was all about the music, which is what I was there for. I certainly got my money's worth. Sully was awesome! I have waited 13 years to see these guys live and it was well worth it. I can never get enough of GODSMACK!!

  • Godsmack Rocks!

by captancrypto on 2011-08-31Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Small crowd but Sully and company still can rock out and work the crowd. They played a few new songs and all the classic Godsmack. A no bones show with just awesome music and lights with no pyro or video proves that it is the music that entertains.
