About

With over 20 years of chart-topping success, the Boson rock band has cemented themselves as 21st-century hard rock titans. To date, they've accomplished a staggering 11 #1 singles at mainstream rock radio, including "Bulletproof," "Unforgettable," "When Legends Rise," and "Under Your Scars," all from the band's most recent album. Additionally, they've enjoyed 20 Top 10 hits at the format-the most of any act since February 1999-as well as four Grammy nominations, and were named Billboard Music Award's Rock Artist of the Year in 2001. Selling over 20 million records worldwide, the band has released seven studio albums; Godsmack (1998), Awake (2000), Faceless (2003), IV (2006), The Oracle (2010), 1000hp (2014), and When Legends Rise (2018).

In 2023, the Massachusetts-bred quartet will take a victory lap with their eighth studio album Lighting Up the Sky, dropping one more classic album as they ascend into the celebratory portion of their career. The powerful storytelling of Lighting Up the Sky covers boy-meets-girl, obstacles in relationships, the polarized political climate and the state of the world, betrayal, connection, rebounds, and more.

GODSMACK is Sully Erna (vocals, guitar), Tony Rombola (guitar), Robbie Merrill (bass), and Shannon Larkin (drums).

Godsmack was amazing like usual. Sully has total control over the crowd at all times. If you can get the people of Regina to get excited, stand, clap and participate ... you've done something pretty fantastic. The only negative at this concert was the sound system at the Brandt Centre. The last time Godsmack played in Regina, the venue was the Conexus Art Centre which was a much better concert with great sound.

  • Amazing show by Godsmack

    by Motley99 on 2011-08-31Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

The short answer is that the show was Amazing!! I took part in the meet and greet and sound check, and had a fantastic time. The sound check was like being a part of a private concert. The guys are really nice, and signed autographs. It was a lot of fun.

They were good, not great, but good. It was fairly entertaining, I was rockin'. They could use more dynamics

Godsmack was awesome. They hit the stage and pounded through each song without taking a breath. They only stopped to banter with the crowd on the last song before the encore. Disappointed in the turnout of fans. Godsmack deserved better. But for those of us that were there, we got our money's worth and then some.

They amazing, working at getting the crowd into it. And they displayed amazing amounts of energy. The drumoff was especially good.

  • Godsmack! Great Musicians!!

Great down and out rock show. Sad to see the poor attendance, but that is to no fault of Godsmack. THey played like it was their last gig. Sound system was garbage, but I think it was a compromise and possibly a new crew, so I'll give them a bit of slack! If you want a good show that is about amazing musicianship and not flash and bang, go see Godsmack!

Being there in person beats listening to a CD any day. They really knew how to play to the crowd and get everyone going. Awesome band, good talent, and even the opening band was decent.

  • Godsmack Hammered Hamilton!!

by SaintSinner on 2011-08-24Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show from the first song to the encore!! Tons of energy from the whole band and an incredible job done with the dueling drumkits and the jam medleys! Sully had the crowd kicking it back at them and really got everyone pumped! Great lights - great sound! Nice mix of new material and old classics. Wish they did a Toronto show too!

OK!!! don't get me wrong, Sully and the boy's put on a good performance. BUT. after the first song Sully tells everybody that they didn't bring pyro, nor laser lights, then it seemed like they rushed through there 12 songs so they can get back to there good old USA. They didn't even play the biggest song on there new album Whiskey Hangover, nor the song Greed. Another huge hit. Guess us Canadians should just be happy they even came to there performance this time and didn't cancel.

  • Great Performance!
