Goo Goo Dolls, a band that rose from the punk scene in Buffalo, New York, penned several of the most definitive hits of the ’90s. Forming in 1985, the Goo Goo Dolls experimented with hard rock before landing on a winning formula that incorporated elements of acoustic and alternative rock for 1995’s A Boy Named Goo. The album yielded the band’s first Billboard 200 chart placement at No. 27 and its unlikely third single “Name” climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1998, the band vaulted to global ubiquity with “Iris,” a ballad written for the City of Angels soundtrack that later ushered in their quintuple-platinum sixth album Dizzy up the Girl. The song remained atop the former Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for 18 weeks, a record that stood until 2020. The Goo Goo Dolls solidified their stratospheric success with the equally catchy follow-up single “Slide,” which hit No. 8 on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum itself. In 2002, Gutterflower earned the band their highest Billboard 200 peak at No. 4, while 2006’s Let Love In added more catalog highlights like “Better Days'' and a cover of Supertramp’s “Give a Little Bit.” Founding members Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac have toured extensively across the 2010s while maintaining a steady output of new projects, including 2019’s Miracle Pill and 2022’s self-produced Chaos in Bloom.

Outstanding concert. Goo are great! Terrific new album.
Show was awesome as usual from the goo's great venue
Show was amazing. Best Goo Goo Dolls concert I've ever seen.
My daughter and I had the good fortune of having VIP seating, row 2 in the middle, right in front of Johnny Reznik's microphone, so amazing!!!! We also met the band which is quick but fun. A hug from your favourite group members is awesome! I do wish they would take a few minutes to personally sign something when you meet them as so many other bands do for VIP seating. The first set was all DIzzy up the Girl and the second set was a good mix of older and newer stuff. They played a full 2 hours, no intermission, and no opening band. I do wish there was an encore as that is always an extra reason to cheer at the end. The venue was simply beautiful, best indoor concert venue I have been to. Would totally return! You can really tell that Buffalo loves the band as many people around us were attending 2 or all nights and could share stories with us about their early days in smaller venues. So cool!
I was a overall disappointed, I was expecting more stories/sharing of experiences writing songs from the album given that it was an anniversary tour. The midshow act with the screen was bizarre and uncharacteristic of the band.
It was a true rock show! It was EPIC! They played the Dizzy album in it's entirety. Second set was many old rock tunes with only a spattering of new material. The crowd was amazing! They were filming for likely a DVD to be released in future.
Went to see the Goo Goo's for the 5th time in 2 years and it was a fantastic show once again! We bought VIP tickets so we met the band, although quickly, which was a real highlight! The band changed up the playlist and it was so nice to hear their brand new songs live! The venue was great for summertime, outdoor ones are always fun, a little humid though on that night but a nice breeze at times. All the staff at the venue were very friendly and helpful. My only wish, which I shared with Johnny and Robbie when meeting them was that I wish they came to Canada more often as they have a lot of fans who love them here, sometimes going to the U.S. becomes very expensive with hotel, etc. to add on but still worth it every time.
Great concert and a great venue. Phillip Phillips was great I just wished he sang more songs. Goo Goo Dolls were amazing and did not disappoint.
Excellent concert by Goo Goo Dolls. I've always loved their music and thought their performance was fantastic. I have to say that Collective Soul was a great opening act - forgot how many songs of their I like.
I loved this show. Goo Goo dolls are fun, interactive and lyrically genius. the crew are also very kind and friendly
The whole show was loads of fun. Had opportunity for a meet and greet with Goo Goo Dolls, and a stage side seat as well as front row centre. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Plain White T's put on an excellent, short set, the Daughtry - very good and Goo Goo Dolls sang my heart out! Last time I had the opportunity to see Goo Goo Dolls was in January 1996 at Lee's Palace. They are continuing to be an excellent and entertaining band and I would see them again in an instant. A superb way to start off the summer after a busy work season prior to that. Thanks for the great event! :)
the cost of the ticket was more than worth it! all performers were excellent!
Loved the Goo Goo Dolls. The background music drowned out Daughtry's voice a bit.
Breaks were too long between bands. Half an hour each
This was an intimate show with a lot of interaction from the band. Each song was introduced with a story of how it came about or the meaning behind it. Songs from the old to the new, every one sang in top form. John was so relaxed and laid back, singing each song with so much feeling. It was a very moving performance! As much as I love a good rock show, this acoustic performance was probably the best I have seen the GGDs.
Goo Goo Dolls never disappoint!! Love them!! Great venue to see them in!
The most entertainment I had in so long ! There was jokes and witty banter while they were in between songs and my three year old went as they are one of his favorites and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. If you love goo goo dolls on recording you will love them even more live. Amazing... pretty great set to :) !
The sound wasn't as good as other concerts I've been to at that Theater. First time I've been there since they changed it to Hard Rock. Goo Goo Dolls are such a great band. They have good energy, smile alot, friendly. A great night! Only downside was the concert was to start at 8pm. The backup band was playing by 8:10, but the Goo Goo Dolls didn't start playing until about 9:20-9:25ish. A solid hour + of their music. Was good.
Great venue to see a super band up close! Great selection of their music with an encore. Sound for Dolls was great. Opener Autumns Cannon was ok but sound could have been better.
I'm a big fan of the GooGoo's, and this is the first time I have seen them in concert. I thought it was Awsome and they played every song I wanted to hear. The sound was Great and vocals were fantastic. I would see them again and look forward to new music.
