Well worth the time and money

by jbtor on 2015-11-12The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Neither of these guys, even at the ages of 71 and 73 have lost anything in their playing and singing abilities. What a surprise that was. JLP's intonation and phrasing are still outstanding and brought back so many great memories. I could have heard a little more of him. Andersen voice is still strong and he demonstrates a unique genuine character on stage.

    Amazing Performance by Amazing Musicians

by Shawn2112 on 2015-11-11The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Jon Anderson and Jean-Luc Ponty, two of the greatest, were backed up by some of the most talented musicians in the industry! Not only do they all have the chops, and show it, but they all had so much heart in their playing and they kept the energy going. I went to Toronto all the way from Montreal and if you get the chance to see APB, do it; it will be more than worth it.

    Anderson Ponty an Awakening!

by DoubleDGirl on 2015-11-10The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Better late than never truly is a great description of this duo's collaboration, for had it been never we would not have experienced this most incredible evening of music from legendary talents. It's not often we are able to enjoy a show of the magnitude of talent brought forth with the Anderson Ponty Band. From Jean-Luc, Jon and the rich tapestry of sound created with their accompanying bandmates, the music is truly inspired. Jean-Luc's mastery is brought out in every note he plays and Jon's ethereal vocals will touch everyone with incredible memories with new ones to be made. Purchasing a VIP ticket for the absolutely unbeatable value that we purchased it for also shows the incredible love that Jon Anderson and Jean Luc have for their fan base. It will be difficult to find a better value than this for a musically uplifting evening. Jon's base and spirituality is so moving, so centered, so full of love, you cannot help but feel that you are being carried to a very special place through the music and Jon's presence. Jean-Luc's, Jon's and the phenomenal band's total oneness and unity in this project is evident and appreciated!

    The Voice

by harty on 2014-04-14Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara Falls

The voice is stronger than ever. And for those who have followed Jon's path, you'll know what this means. He hit many of those Jon highs that I have come to love. He was fantastic tonight. After just seeing the band Yes in Hamilton 2 weeks earlier it was just what I needed....to hear Jon sing those songs. All I can say was his voice was bang on. And it wasa treat to be there to hear it. To see him at the Bear's Den is so personable. I mean hey, to be able to see Jon live, singing those treasured YES numbers, that I saw from the back rows at Maple Leaf Gardens, from 15 feet in front of me...

    Jon & Jane's Anniversary

by PMorazter on 2010-04-28The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

It was Jon & Jane's anniversary that evening. The crowd was superb. Quiet and very attentive. Great setup. Sold Out. Jon was spot on. I especially enjoyed the tuned grand piano, To The Runner and of course I'll Find My Way Home. Thanks to the Great Friends and YES appreciators in attendance. Cheers Jon & Jane!

    Jon still has THE VOICE!

by AndyG on 2010-04-16The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Jon is a super nice guy, has wrtten some great tunes and still has a very unique and wonderful voice. But I must complain when it came to the instrumentation. It degraded the whole performance. Jon played solo and he is not a very good guitarist or pianist. We were a bit disappointed that he did not have a couple of top notch players on tour with him to match the reputation of his recorded works...YES and VANGELIS, etc. For the price we paid for tix, the whole package should have been high end. Jon.....please....recruit Steve Howe or someone who can play. It'll take the level of the show from average to stupendous!

    Great Show

by Cody66 on 2010-04-08The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Jon Anderson has still got it. His voice has been so consistent throughout his entire career that, seeing this show, brings you back in time. He mixed everything perfectly, from the songs he played in Yes, to his solo works, even songs he played with Vangelis, and recent works he made while in the hospital. To top it off, he made the night by sharing little stories about his life and career. An amazing show, even though the rest of Yes wasn't there, it didn't matter. I was absolutely thrilled to witness just Jon.

    A Very Enjoyable Show

by BuckeyeGirl on 2010-04-07The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

A very enjoyable show in an intimate setting. What most impressed me was his interactions with the audience. Almost like you could sit down for a pint with him.
