80's Rock at its Best
by Fillthenet on 2012-11-29Credit Union Center - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5Opening Act - Night Ranger still thought they were in the 80's running around head banging, but loved it. Played for 40 minutes. Great songs but they left out Sentimental Street. 20 minute set break Middle Act - Loverboy can still belt out the tunes. Played for 40 minutes. Not much of a stage show. Started slow but finished strong with all their major hits. Had the crowd on its feet to the point of almost chanting encore. 25 minute set break Main Act - Journey - Played for 90 minutes. Arnel Pineda knows how to work the stage and the crowd. He is just as good as Perry but was starting to lose his energy and voice by the end. Great songs but too many guitar riffs that lost the crowd. I actually would have liked to seen a few more songs of Night Ranger though. Any one of these Bands could be the headliner. For the price, one heck of a rock show. Must attend.
