Despite the loss, great game and Amazing seats for a great price!
Took in the Playoff game between our beloved Steelheads and the Colts. Game was good and had a terrific pace. These seats are great, just high enough to see the whole ice and yet close enough to the action. Would strongly recommend the J row of Section 7. Worth the extra dollars. One word of caution, if the game goes into overtime the concessions will be closed. So if you want a snack or drink get it before Period 3 ends.
If you haven't seen them play, get out to a Mississauga Steelheads game now! They have 4 players confirmed headed to the NHL clubs, and more will follow. Unlike the original team, the icedogs, the steelheads are all about the game, not about the owner. They put a great product on the ice and wrap it Ina family friendly atmosphere. And at less than $30 to sit on the glass behind the net, you can take the whole family without having to get a second mortgage. Support the kid and your hometown team Mississauga, you won't regret it!!
4 tickets 4 popcorn 4 bottled drinks 4 programs for $60! It was amazing and affordable. Plus we brought a donation for the food bank as requested and received vouchers for tickets to a March regular season game!
Attended the Family Day game with my young son! The game was good and the seats were close to the action. We enjoyed the game especially since the Steelheads won! The concession stands were another story. We left to get our snacks between the periods. After a lengthy line up was told they had run out of hot dogs and popcorn. they had no pepsi! It was a disaster. We ended up taking up the whole intermission plus 10 minutes of the game.
It was my family's first game of the season. Team looks as good as they did last year.
Great atmosphere. Good hockey. Comfortable venue - no bad seats. And a lot more affordable than an NHL game.
This is such good hockey to come to see! They actually play hockey, very few penalties and so enjoyable to watch! Trust me when I say - if you like hockey and haven't been to a Steelheads game - you are missing out on seeing some really good hockey.
Our seats are excellent; last row, aisle seats at centre ice. The hockey is good quality, parking is free, and the atmosphere is family friendly. Great place to take kids.
The game was entertaining even though the Steelheads lost.
Excellent entertainment value. OHL Major Jr A playoffs are always a great opportunity to see the young hockey stars of the future before they finish their junior careers and leave to join their pro draft teams.
wow !!!! I didn't realize that DartGuy was the legend him self, Steve wonder a steelhead fan wow I cant believe it, of course he didn't see anything negative thing happen, or didn't want to see anything happen, was too drunk or was the steelhead fan taunted the petes players, and if dartyfartyguy read the review I wasn't a Peterborough fan, well hhhmmm I guess it just didn't happen if dartguy say it didn't, please .....how do u like them apples ??? as it doesn't change the fact that Mississauga seriously hurting franchise with a lame mascot as I eat steelheads I don't put on the jersey, hey why don't we put a hamburger on the jersey too and call them Mississauga burgers heads .....ooooo fear the fish......please
The Steelheads are an amazing organization with great fans. They treated me with all the respect in the world and have won over a fan!!! Any negative posts recently are clearly by sour Petes fans as i did not witness a single negative thing happen. Fans celebrated a 4 game sweep like fans of any other team would have and if you didn't like it...too bad!!!!!!!!!! Go Steel GO, Fear the Fish!!!
disrespectful loud mouth fans and disrespectful loud mouth kids putting feet on the glass and jumping on the seats with their shoes talking about utter garbage jumping all over the place, at the end a steelhead fan taunted the petes players and piss off their fans getting almost into a fight
A very hard fought, entertaining game; lots of chances, close calls. The players worked their tails off.
This was my second visit to this arena to watch junior hockey. I love the free parking and the staff is quite friendly. I was surprised that there were fewer than 2100 people present for a playoff game on a lovely Sunday afternoon. (Metro Toronto does not support junior hockey!) There were plenty of empty seats. The game was average. The Oshawa goalie, to put it bluntly, was a sieve. One complaint about the concessions--the ketchup dispensers where I bought a hot dog and fries were already empty before the game ever began! That shouldn't happen!
My teenage son and I go to games as often as we can. Tickets are dirt cheap compared to Marlies (AHL) or Maple Leafs (NHL) tickets obviously. The food can be a bit pricy so you may wanna eat before the game, but snacks and smaller things are not too unreasonable for a hockey game. The parking is free and there are usually plenty of spaces, even near game time. Attendance is never too high so it's great for people who don't really care much for a packed house. Overall, we usually never spend more than 50 bucks for the whole night, even less if we don't buy any food. The hockey itself is fantastic as well. The Steelheads have a great team this year and they have several top NHL prospects on the team, so it's great hockey. We've been going for about 6 or 7 years now, I couldn't recommend it more to hardcore hockey fans, or even families looking for a fun, affordable night out. The events are very family friendly.
Good venue well organized. Great Seat, awesome for little kids who can stand and move at the front row. Good time.
I had a great time at the game and it was worth the price of the ticket.
Excellent game as the locals put together a superb effort and knocked off the best team in the league.
