  • New order AND joy division!

by Great show, more than worth the ticket on 2024-09-28Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Peter Hook and the light did an amazing two sweet performance. Everything played perfectly as if they wrote and played the songs for decades. I was not disappointed and neither was just of the crowd, I saw a lot more dancing than usual on a Monday night! Bar was great service, drinks are reasonable, sound is awesome. Thanks commodore!

  • Brilliant!

by Tanaka on 2024-09-26Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

2.5 hours straight of New Order/Joy Division songs! What a performance! One of the best concerts I’ve seen in a long time! Commodore such a good venue too!

  • Best show yet !

by BrianVan on 2024-09-26Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was the fourth time i've seen Peter Hook & the Light in Vancouver and this was the best one yet. Almost 3 hours, sounded awesome! Band is getting better. All your JD and NO favs. No filler!

  • Hooky is the man

    by Martin W on 2024-09-26Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I've seen New Order sans PH 3 times and each time the frustration of watching that young punk play Hook's bass parts grew and grew. In what kinda world is this even acceptable? Oh the humanity! Well this is just what I needed. Deep cuts with both Substance albums being featured and lots of rock star moments with that bass slung waaayyy low. Take back those epic bass lines Hooky. THEY BELONG TO YOU..

  • Loved the Joy Division New Order mix

by Brought me back to my youth on 2024-09-26Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Stick rocking it out after 30 plus years. Great energy. Sound was awesome and enjoyed the vibe! Had previously seen New Order in Vcr at Queen Elizabeth and this blew that away.

  • See the Light

    by Cptkirk63 on 2024-09-26Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

While the initial New Order set was very good the second set of Joy Division was an absolute knock out .Fabulous show at the always stupendous Commodore on Granville.

  • Amazing

by Dok on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was our third show with Hook and once with New Order. First time we finished right to end when Hooky takes off T and throws into audience! Hooky gave a fantastic performance, engaged the fans and energetic showmanship and the venue has great sound and atmosphere at History-Clean bathrooms& great staff. Can’t wait to see Hook & the Light again.

  • Always a good show.

  • Worth the money

by Rosco on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I sat upstairs for a change and loved watching everybody dancing and reminiscing of their youth. Playing 2 albums in their entirety was magic and both New Order and Joy Division sastisfied all.

  • What a show!

by TBONE on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Hooky was great, and his back up band may have been even better. Every song was perfectly executed. History is a great venue with exceptional concert sound. My first time seeing Peter Hook and first time at History. Not my last. Bla, bla,Bla, bla,Bla, bla,Bla, bla,Bla, bla,

  • Awesome!

One of best concerts I have been to. Not just because of Peter Hook but the venue is fantastic. Be Never been to History. Great acoustics. Not too big but big enough. Air conditioned!

All the hits. Very nicely executed. Peter Hook and the Light were having fun, and the crowd was as well.

  • A Must See for New Order & Joy Division Fans

by A Must See for All NO & JD Fans on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

If you have tickets for a Peter Hook & the Light show, you are in for a special night full of nostalgia and great music. Peter Hook is so passionate about the songs, and the connection he has with the audience as he is playing them is indescribable. Truly an unforgettable night and I feel grateful that I was able to experience it.

  • Great show!

by Jonny on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent as always! Can’t wait to see them when they are back in Toronto next year!

  • Great show, brutal venue.

by Jtommya on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

First time at History (general admission). Soulless venue. Terrible sound and sightlines (flat floor, low stage). Peter’s bass and vox totally lost in the mix. So disappointing for a pretty decent performance

  • New Order on Steroids

by Concert Girl on 2024-09-03History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Once again 3 hours of New Order and Joy Division. High energy and total fun! Danced the whole time!! He’s fantastic !!

  • Must see

by Shellshocked on 2024-09-01Rating: 5 out of 5

It was one of the best. To hear this music live is unbelievable. They played it perfectly. Better than the albums . Once in a lifetime experience.

  • Classic and Iconic

by Canucklehead on 2022-09-23Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

A fantastic evening of Joy Division classics - with a sprinkling of New Order favorites. Peter and his band are sharp and tight - and play with a driving enthusiasm and joy. His live version of 'Love Will Tell Us Apart" is one of the best live music experiences that you could possibly imagine. Would go again whenever he decides to revisit Vancouver.

  • Amazing

by Little Lori on 2022-09-18Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best shows I’ve seen in years. Was so thrilled to hear music from his variety of bands.

  • Awesome from Hooky, again!

by BrianVan on 2022-09-17Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Third time seeing Hooky and he was excellent again. The Commodore is one of Vancouver’s best venues and he sounded amazing. See you next time Hooky!
