    AMAZING!

by NVNV on 2018-05-06The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Peter Hook and the Light give the right amount of nostalgia and emotion. He pours his heart into every song, and you JUST WANT MORE! I can’t wait to see them again! You will laugh, and cry as the memories wash over you! Thank you Peter Hook for giving us this! I am forever grateful!

    Mixed feelings

by Abarca on 2018-05-04The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Considering Hook is a key bassist in rock history I was expecting to see more hands on in his concert. With some exceptions, he plays it sporadically, leaving the band (which by the way is flawless) to do all the work. His singing is not particularly engaging, making the whole experience blend. 3 stars for the Joy Division set.

    Peter Hook In Toronto

by PeterPappy on 2018-05-04The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The Peter Hook concert is divided into two segments. The first of the two is New order and the second of the two is Joy Division. The first part is the music i can relate to as a teenager. The performance was lively. The sound was perfect. There was great band and crowd participation. Peters vocals were VERY much improved over the last time he came to Toronto. The first half was perhaps the best concert experience i have ever had being on the floor and very close to the stage. The second half of the set, was before my time but the closing song was perhaps the highlight of the night--Love Will Tear Us Apart...again

    Peter Hook kills it

by Tizman on 2018-05-04The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

A fantastic show, and one of the best concerts I have ever attended. He played the songs everyone wanted to hear, and played them well. Not to be missed by any New Order/Joy Division fan.

This was the Peter Hook tour to see........

by raunch on 2016-12-02The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Peter Hook and the Light performing Substance was like watching (and hearing) the best of New Order and Joy Division. The set list followed the track list of the Substance albums by both bands........brilliant! I saw the same band performing two New Order albums, two years ago, and was not as happy with that overall show as I was with this one. Great energy from start to finish!

    Hooky Never Disappoints

I have seen him three times now, and all times have been incredible! Better than New Order itself live.

    Peter Hook still has it!!

by DJLou on 2014-11-15The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The concert was awesome!! Being at the front row was the best experience ever even if Peter was so close that he could have literally hit me with his guitar!! I would have given it a 5 star rating but the vocals were a little low and at times were drowned out by the guitars.

    Pretty good show, but....

by raunch on 2014-11-14The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Long (3 hours) show featuring New Order's 3rd and 4th albums. Considering that these were both mediocre recordings to most 80's folks(excepting the hard-core New Order fan), the night seemed a bit boring. Things started off great with the band playing 5 Joy Division numbers (She's Lost Control and Ceremony being the highlights). They took a short break and came back and played Brotherhood in it's entirety. Another short break was followed by the performing of Low Life. The encore was 5 different New Order tunes. The place was packed and most seemed to be having a good time. However, the Danforth Music Hall has a concrete sloped floor, which is great for viewing but tends to be hard on the feet for long shows (3 hours standing on the same spot is nasty). Really good band........the material was a bit of a let down. Recommended for hardcore New Order fans only.

The Best New Order Tribute Band I Have Ever Seen!!

by Gothguy on 2014-11-14The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

No - but seriously though - Peter Hook put on an incredible performance! This guy came out and played for 3 hours with only two short breaks and rocked the whole house. It was great to hear some old Joy Division at first and then he just laid into the New Order set and never looked back. I couldn't believe how many songs he played - they were all tight and sounded great. I have seen New Order before at the Sony Center - they also put on a good show but it is so polished and filled with lasers and videos playing in the background, whereas this show must have been what it was like to have seen Joy Division or New Order as they were playing the club scene back in the 80's. Raw & furious! I saw Peter play at The Hoxton last year and that was a good show - but this was a better one. And oh yeah, I'm the guy that caught his shirt when he threw it into the crowd!

by rbadke on 2014-11-14The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Great set list. Rocked the crowd. Brought me back to my youth. You'd think you were at a New Order/ Joy Division concert
