Pop-rock musician Phillip Phillips wowed “American Idol” fans and judges in season 11 with spot-on covers of iconic songs including Steve Wonder’s “Superstition”, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, and Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle”. Phillips’ scratchy vocals, reminiscent of his own idol Dave Matthews, are exemplified in his chart-topping debut single “Home” as well as sweet, mellow tracks like “So Easy”. His platinum-selling first album The World from the Side of the Moon includes the upbeat love song “Gone, Gone, Gone”, which is sure to be a wedding song for Phillips fans for years to come. The Georgia-born singer/songwriter wound up taking home the title of American Idol, but only after dealing with congenital kidney issues that landed him in the hospital for eight surgeries during the “Idol” season. Phillips recovered in time for the “American Idol LIVE Tour”, performing major-market concerts alongside the season’s nine other top contestants. The 46-city trek sold more than a quarter of a million tickets overall, placing it at No. 62 in the Top 200 North American tours of 2012.
Coming off a lengthy break to heal a hand injury and having had a nasty cold, Phillip Phillips did the very best he could. You could see that he was hurting, but the music was awesome and would love to see him again when he is at his best.
Great concert considering Phillip was sick. One suggestion that, in my opinion, would have made this a 5 star concert is the lighting. The lighting was the worse I've seen at Casino Rama. Most of the time, you could not see Phillips face (let alone the other musicians). The strobe lights going on for too long caused many of us to turn our faces and cover our eyes. It was too much. If I'm going to pay high prices for tickets to see an artist, I want to SEE the artist!
Phil and is band are true musicians. Phil has a voice like no other person I have heard, a true original. I like that he stays true to himself. Floor seats should not be compted to casino players. Their lack of enthusiasm put a damper on the rest of us sitting there. The people at the back were having a great time.
Far too funky/Jazzy for our tastes....did not play many of the tracks that made him famous (i.e. American Idol)....very talented, just not the music we were expecting....Also he had a cold, which may have affected his set.
This was my fourth time seeing Phillip live and it just gets better. You can see he really loves what he does and he cares about his fans having fun. Multiple times he thanked the fans for coming out, he acknowledged the band and the show started on time! I would HIGHLY recommend for everyone to see him live at least once because he never fails to entertain. Even my dad was amazed by the show. Bottom line: Another amazing show by a fantastic artist!
Phillip put on a great show. So amazing to watch him get totally lost in the music. He has so much soul. The stadium was cut in half for his show but with shows like this one he will be playing for full houses and deservedly so! Loved every minute and would see him again in a heartbeat!
The show was fantastic! We were on our feet as singing and dancing with him almost all night. High energy, funny! Would go again!

Going in I did not know what to expect because I only knew a few of his released songs and to my surprise and pleasure, it was a great concert. Phillip Phillips is a great performer and did an outstanding job. I can say that after seeing him live, I walked away a fan.
Performance by Phillip was terrific! Crowd was totally engaged and ran the age spectrum. Everyone had a good time. Extremely disappointed with the vinyl & digital download purchased at the venue. One, who has a vinyl player readily available so, TWO, all 6 of us purchased the vinyl for the digital download. The vinyl was kind of a fun twist. It has been impossible to download the digital copy and ALL at INTERSCOPE say that they will not help because the purchase was not made online! This message from both INTERSCOPE (record sales) & BRAVADO (Phillip Phillips Store). DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANY MUSIC PURCHASES. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR unless you want to play vinyl... Will not be purchasing other Phillip Phillips music because of the lack of regard for fan purchases.
Phillip Phillips was incredible. Wonderful intimate feeling during the show. Fantastic music and terrific stage presence.

It was loud and amazing , stood and danced for his full set. The opening was amazing
Loved the seating. Sounded excellent. Would defiantly see him again. I would also go back to the jubilee
awesome concert! Great entertainment. A bit too much guitar etc (fill) for me but perhaps there wasn't as much material to sing with just the one album out.
The show was so much better then expected, Phillip is outstanding in person, just such a great singer, so relaxed even with his slippers on, what a hoot. Loved it, down side was that it was way tooo short. He has so many great songs on this albun would have loved to hear more or other songs too/
Loved the guy from American Idol. Now I love the guy and his rocking band! Phillip can shake it up. When he gets into the song he jumps while playing guitar. Can't say I've every seen anyone bend over the guitar, rock and jump at the same time!
Thoroughly enjoyed the concert! Philip Phillips had great energy, sang well and seemed genuinely interested in his audience. It was a great show.

Philip Philips is a amazing young man and he is such a gifted artist !!!!!!!!! If you like music you will love this young man…..his band is fantastic and they put all their heart and soul into making this a great show !!!!! Philip Philips is just going to get more songs on the radio for all of us to enjoy and we will be hearing from him for a long time !!!!! He is a gem and was just so happy we all came out to see him ……..
