Top of his game!
by amoremusica on 2017-07-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5This was my first Rufus show. It was a crisp, flawlessly co-ordinated effort with the National Arts Centre Orchestra featuring a well rounded set list of Rufus's best evocative ballads and symphonic pieces with two classical interludes. Vocally Rufus is better than ever these days, a powerful, clear baritone/tenor even better than on record and definitely something to be experienced live. The once wild, slurry party boy is now a slick, mature professional! Newly renovated Southam Hall made for a beautiful and fitting venue. Special props also to the youthful NAC orchestra and handsome, vibrant conductor Jayce Ogren as well as the lighting and sound techs...I am still blown away!
