For 20 years, multi-platinum rock band Shinedown have dominated the charts with their melodic hard rock sound. Shinedown have the most No. 1 hits (18) in the more than 40-year history of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart, including the singles “Daylight,” “Planet Zero” and “Atlas Falls.” Their third album, 2008’s The Sound of Madness, spawned four No. 1 singles on the Mainstream Rock chart and spent 120 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, with the crossover hit “Second Chance” landing in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Shinedown has sold over 10 million albums worldwide and is a high-octane touring juggernaut, playing countless sold-out arena tours — including 2023’s The Revolutions Live Tour, which began in April with a 21-date U.S. run. They will hit the road in 2025 on the upcoming Dance, Kid, Dance tour.

These guys were awesome. I saw them in Calgary, they got alot of spirit!
AMAZING, best show I have seen in a long time. I'm usually into heavier music but i went and was blown away.
I originally went to this concert for my husband. I have not seen him this excited about a band in a long time. I wasn't expecting to really enjoy myself - boy was I wrong!!!!!!!! These guys not only rock, but they have a great sound and a very positive aura and message. I am a huge fan now, based purely on their performance. You must see them if you get a chance. Watch out for this band - they are going places.
great, best band around for a long time godsmack, theory of a deadman, nickelback and shinedown now thats a festival !!!
The band was great, but the sound was terrible. Maybe it was the location, maybe it was the sound tech, but it could have been a lot better.
Love the new Shinedown CD & glad they played everything plus some songs from their other 2 CD's as well. The venue was great and the sound was loud but you could hear everything. The warm-up acts were also good and Tupelo Honey was a good match with their sound kinda like Shinedown's...we were so impressed we bought their latest CD & can't wait for a full length one soon.....good for some local guys to get this recognition. We waited so long for Shinedown to come & play in Calgary, we were wondering if they forgot about us, but nope, they gave it 100%+ and loved every minute of it. Since this is the day MJ passed away, they opened by playing "ABC" an old Jackson 5 hit from when I was a kid, and was a nice way to pay homage to another entertainer who influenced so many people around the world. Next time maybe they could do a meet & greet and maybe play somewhere bigger like the Jubilee....can't wait for their next album...keep on rockin Shinedown, we love you in Calgary!
We saw Shinedown at the Comodore on June 23rd and it was one of the best nights of my life, totally awesome. Would go again in an instant, loved the venue as well, was great to see a band there because of the size could actually get right in there instead of being sitting two miles in the back. Totally Awesome!! Can't even think of anything else to say.
It is very difficult now-a-days to see a band who actually has passion toward the art of music. Shinedown stands out from every other band out there now. Why havn't I taken The Sound of Madness out of my CD player? Because it's the only album probably 8 years that gave me goosebumps. It's the only album where you can hear the passion. They're one of the only bands out there who enjoy being out there because they are doing what they love. It was so nice to hear them thank us (the fans) and put so much effort and enthusiasm into putting on a performance; not just a concert. Shinedown is possibly the greatest rock band of all time. 5 Stars....10/10.....PERFECT!
To be honest I didn't know much about Shinedown before I went to their concert. I will say that they are excellent performers!! I really liked how the lead singer talked to the audience and interacted with us. Plus a lot of his comments were very inspiring!! Overall one of the best concerts I saw this year!!
Shinedown is one of our favorite bands and they did not disappoint us. Even though we had to stand up all night, it was worth it!! Lots of energy and the sound was great.
I love Shinedown but i have to admit that I was a bit disappointed. I felt that the mic wasn't doing justice to the lead singers vocals as it kept cutting out when he sang loud. Mac Hall is a tough venue as well, standing for a long period of time on the cement is hard on the legs. But these guys are so gifted musically it was amazing and they played for a good long time and that in itself is pretty cool in this day and age.........
Shinedown put on an awesome show! Great sound and great energy.
I was disappointed with the sound quality. I found it distorted. They didnt showcase their strongest asset. This guys voice is amazing, the strength he has! He does a wicked accustic version of Skynyrds Simple man. I would have loved to have heard live. I still enjoyed overall though.
I have been a shinedown fan for quite some time now, so my friends and i weren't super concerned about making the opening bands..... we ended up getting there before the first band played..... Honestly, best matched concert i've seen in a loooooong time.... each band brought something new and different to the plate. I had heard incura on the radio and really liked their songs, but never knew it was them! I was surprised when i realized that i knew them!.. Anyway, tupelo honey was good, but incura and shinedown were incredible!. The energy on the stage from both performers was high, and crowd participation in shinedown's set was crucial. I found a lot of brent's speeches during the shinedown set to be quite inspirational and uplifting. It really brought the crowd away from being strangers on the floor of the commodore ballroom to a group of people who were all there for the same reason and therefore were not strangers due to the common reason as to being there. Shinedown is one band that is a must see! Even if you're not a fan, you will be by the end of the set.
A great show from a talented band. They played a good variety of songs from all albums, each with passion, giving that to the crowd. I'd like not to have to hear from a singer to 'be careful' or to 'have fun, and be safe'. If you're not going to enjoy the show, go somewhere else. Shinedown plays with energy, and if the crowd shows it, they shouldn't have to do it carefully. Leave it all out on the floor.
Very good show! Much harder sound than was expecting but it was a pleasant surprise! Great set list and awesome performance! Best hard rock show I've seen in some time.
I really did enjoy the concert. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't play more songs off of their first 2 albums. They only played one off of each and the remainder of the concert was from the new album. I have been a fan of Shinedown for several years and my fave songs are the older ones. I still thought that they rocked, but the concert wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be.
I thought it was an amazing concert! I hope they come back soon... like really soon! I loved how they did their concert and how they were really engaging with the crowd. The only thing that was disappointing was that they didn't play "What a Shame."
The Shinedown show with openers Incura was awesome! Incura put on a great performance- engaging the audience and urging them to sing a long, and the lead singer worked the stage. Similarly, Shinedown put on a mezmerizing show, mixing in the new songs with the crowd favourites and telling anecdotes between songs. All in all - a pretty great show
I have loved Shinedown for so long it was totally worth it being able to finally go. I had a blast, the band rocked, the singer totally got the audience into it, which was awesome. I loved the variety of music they played. The venue was perfect for it and I would absolutely go again.
