What a great event! THe dancers really outdid themselves. Their emcee skills were excellent and a great time was had by all.
The dancers were fantastic. The music was toooo loud, the base was moving my seat! There were too many lights flashing, pictures in the background moving around etc. and I found it distracting while the dancers were doing their routines. I would have liked to have seen more group numbers. This was my 3rd US tour show. I want to see the dancers and less glitz. I liked last years show the best out of the three I've seen. I'm not sure if I would go again next year.
So You Think You Can Dance 2009 is amazing!! I fully expected the dancing to be amazing but they surpassed my expectations concerning anything in between the dancing! Exceptional!
The show was A-mazing! Almost 3hrs long. Great sound, great lites, backgrounds. Dancers threw their energy out into the crowd. In fact, they were so good that quite a few of them received standing ovations! Well deserved, of course. And to the crowds' surprise the top 10 from the Canadian show came out.....quite the shock. My 9 year old loved, loved, loved the show. We had goosebumps during parts of the show. My only wish was that at least one of the judges and/or choreographers could have appeared on the show. The comedic relief with the "Russian Folkdance" was hilarious. Quite the crowd pleaser.
It was SPECTACULAR!! It was a full night of wonderful and memorable performances. The script this year was exceptionally hilarious!. I really wish I could watch them again. If you weren't there, you really missed out on an amazing amazing show!!
I have been a fan of this show for as long as it's been on the air, and also went to the first tour of the Canadian top ten last year. To compare the shows, the Canadian one was much better, hands down. This show was cheesy, the dancers were so small I had to spend the entire thing with my binoculars glued to my face, and it also went on far too long. I hated the forced dialogue between the dancers in between numbers, and I thought rehashing the show in clips via video screen was unnecessary and a real time time waster. I wanted to love this show so much, and just didn't.
I love, love, loved it!!!!! It was a great show that the dancers put on. We really enjoyed ourselves!!
Great show, Excellent dancers, entertaining humour... well worth the money
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! If you like dancing this is really something to see! The performers out did themselves. They took all the best dances from the show and put it into a night of enjoyment.
If you love the show on TV, you'll LOVE the show live! Somehow seeing the performances in person adds another level to the experience. The movement and expression are even better. I go every time they are here.
The overall performance show was fantastic. I loved the little story that was going on throughout the show. Phillip was soo cute, he made the show for me.
As the year of So You Think You Can Dance progressed, it was clear how much each of the dancers improved each week. Watching them on tour at the ACC, it was remarkable how incredibly professional they have become. Not only was the dancing remarkable, but the interactions among the dancers as they introduced the dances were cute and entertaining. It was definitely one of those nights that I didn't want to end. They could have danced all night, they could have danced all night, and I still would have begged for more!
This was our fourth show and it kept my attention the whole time which was amazing considering my circumstanses. I have a life long friend who I had a falling out with over a year ago...No contact..And out of all the seats and chances She is sitting next to me the entires show can you believe that .that must have been fate!!!! So thank You So you think you can dance gave me a chance to reconnect with my friend of over 45 years
The show was amazing but I wish that the screens on either side of the stage showed more close ups. The view was better from my tv at home, even with the highest priced tickets!
Great show. Dancing was unbelievable. Brandon was absolutely the best :)
I've been to watch this show 3 times so far, and I was never disappointed. It's entertaining, funny, emotional, and it's full of incredible talent!!! I go and watch it any time I have the chance!
My 16 year old daughter and I were lucky to catch the Toronto leg of SYTYCD and we had a great time. The evening was fast paced. It was full of talent but what we weren't expecting was all the humour-so much fun! Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended!
The Event it self was good. This was the 6th show on the Tour for the dancers and they seemed somewhat exhausted already. As well the Security on the floor level where I was should be able to work out rotations between main dance numbers. They were continually up and in the aisles blocking the view of the show. For the most part however, it was enjoyable and I would recommend seeing it if you enjoy the show.
I just loved it....it was great. I want to come and see the next tour when it comes.
The SYTYCD tour was fantastic. All the dancers were on the top of their game and performed lots of classic numbers from the season, as well as a fun twist on Philip and Jeanine's Russian folk dancing. Lots of fun, lots of energy, and a fantastic evening.
