The performances, the top 20, and the SHOW was awesome!
The show was amazing. Very entertaining and well worth the money. The dancers were great.
The dancers were great and so were the routines. it was wonderful to see it all in person. The sound system was way too loud; the videod segments way too long. Nevertheless it was a wonderful show. I thought the ongoing Russian dance joke was delightful and the dance that it finally ended in, fantastic. The acknowledgment of Canada and introduction of the Canadian SYTYCD top ten personalized the evening for the Canadian audience..
The dancing was spectacular to see live. The dancers did not disappoint at all. They performed all the big numbers of the season including Pitbull's "I know you want me". It was pretty amazing to see them dance in the water live, no tricks involved. The level of comedy was great as usual. The mocking of the Russian Folk Dance was played very well by Jeanine & Phillip and Kupono was hysterical when advertising the DVD's. Nice Shorts!! The show NEVER disappoints. It's suitable for ALL ages and I highly recommend it.
Saw the SYTYCD Show last night.....it was amazing! Highly recommend it to everyone, would go again without hesitation. They performed so many numbers it was like watching the best dances from the entire season without commercials. Great performance!!
Ticket was $75, too much for what ended up being a small stage far away and a long show with too many commercials. Constant ads, clips and bad chit chat for tshirts, the Dizzy Feet Foundation, the workout DVDs and the show in general. Dances themselves were great but long introductions and repeated clips from the show made it drag on and on. Could have been half hour shorter or had 5-6 more dances for all the forced banter and time they wasted. Sound quality in ACC terrible, so loud it became distorted and tinny. Most useless moment: they introduce their 'special guests' - the current Canadian cast - and the top ten walk out, wave awkwardly and leave without dancing a step or speaking a word. Just another ad I suppose. Not going to go to one of these again, I'd sooner PVR the show and be able to fast forward when needed.
We sat in the floor seats in the 18th row and what could have made it better was nothing! It was amazing and the top 10 dancers from the canadian so you think you can dance sat 2 rows in front of us! WOW
It was amazing to see the top 10 perform live. Most of my favorite performances from the season were done and they were every bit as exciting.
The show was incredible and the dancers were more amazing in person then on tv. The show was also sprinkled with a variety of comedy sketches which kept the audience laughing. The solos resulted in many standing ovations and the 3 hour show didnt seem long enough .
The show was excellent!! A little too much talking/acting for my liking but the dancers were great. The stage was too low and it was hard to see from floor seats. Thankfully no one stood up except for standing ovations. I would attend another concert if the stage was higher or I could get seats in the stands.
Just went to the live tour in Toronto and all I can say is wow! I love the watching the television show but went in to the concert with ok expectations... We weren't sitting that close so I thought it would be difficult to see the dancers. Well, was I wrong! The overall show was fantastic and the dancers performances were top Notch. Watching them on televesion doesn't do them justice at all. Loved the comedic flow throughout and the fact that each got the chance to talk and do solo's. Definately got my moneys worth. All the dancers were simply amazing!!!
Floor seats, how good is that. We were sitting by the camerman area where the producer was. Two dancers from last years show were in that area with him. Tony (the suitcase dance) and I'm not sure of the girls name. Before the show started the Canadian SYTYCD dancers were near the front. Lots of photo-op-ortunities. Remember the Russian dance that bombed with Philip and Jeanine. Well it was going theme all night , with them trying to perform it and no one letting them. Then they blew our socks off with a Russion theme routine done by the whole troupe. Amazing. Especially when the guys all ripped off their shirts. We ladies are so easy to please. I don't think the problem was the Russian dance it just had to be outside of the boxed routine that is usually done. And of course the costumes improved upon. Phillip got a standing "O". Stunning performance in his own showcase. It looked like it blew him away when people just kept screaming and everyone stood. These dancers are all amazing and I still can't decide which is my favorite. Brandon is fantastic, Evan is amazing and the girls just blow me away with what they can do. The judges sure must have a hard time.
SYTYCD 2009 fell a little short for me. I was so looking forward to seeing the dancers but unfortunately our seats were so far away that we couldn't even see their faces. No worries the screens on either side of the stage should allow us a glimpse at who each dancer was but no. The quality of the screens were so poor that you were better off watching the stage. All that aside, the dancing was great. I would have liked to have seen less individual dancing and more large group dances. The commentary by the dancers was a little on the lame side but then again they are dancers. Truthfully, I wouldn't buy tickets again but based on the crowd reaction, I am probably in the minority.
I enjoyed the show but would have loved the solo's to be longer - 30 seconds was just a tease!!!
I loved the show last night!! The only thing was we were on the floor so it was hard to see the stage at times, however the show was fantastic!
The show was amazing!! The dancing was incredible. Loved the way the audience was engaged by the performers. Inspiring!!
Excellent show. Third time going and it is consistently great. This time I had floor seats which are definately not worth the money. Hard to see the dancers, could not see them when they were on the floor.
You rock!!! High energy, professional level performances by all dancers.
One Word - "Awesome!" (although it could've used more Russian folk dancing!)
I have been taking my sister to this concert for her birthday for the last two years...its turned into a yearly ritual. This was the first year we were unable to get seats in the 200 section and we were expecting the worst view ever. As it turned out, we were in section 322 with an arial view of the stage and I must say it was the best view ever, seeing how the dancers use the stage and how the choreographers use the dancers to explain the movement of the songs was incredible.
