About
Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are a powerhouse, celebrated for their raw emotion and incisive social observations.
Following their award-winning 2022 EP, Pretty Good For A Girl Band, their debut 2023 album I Love You marked a significant milestone, charting at number 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album earned them an AIR Award for Best Independent Rock Album or EP and made history as the first non-male band to win an ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist. Recognised as Spotify's RADAR Artist, their rising global influence is undeniable.
The band's single I Used To Be Fun gained international attention after being featured on Netflix's Heartstopper, further showcasing their reach.
They capped off a massive 2023 by supporting the Foo Fighters at AAMI Park in Melbourne before embarking on their I Love You Too deluxe album tour in 2024, performing at iconic venues such as Northcote Theatre, Liberty Hall, and Princess Theatre. The band then joined Pearl Jam on their Australian tour, playing stadium shows in Queensland, Sydney, and Melbourne, further cementing their status as one of the country's most dynamic and accomplished live acts.
I Love You Too showcases the band's growth, with each member contributing to songwriting. It stands as a definitive statement of their sound--joy, rage, and euphoria, delivered with precision and heart. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers continue to make waves, solidifying their place in the music industry.
