The Psychedelic Furs scored in the ‘80s when John Hughes featured “Pretty in Pink” in his classic 1986 teen comedy Pretty in Pink, naming his film after The Furs’ song. Led by lead vocalist Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass, the band’s 1981 sophomore album Talk Talk Talk (featuring “Pretty in Pink”) debuted on the Billboard 200. Their follow-up, Forever Now (1982) included the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Love My Way,” a staple of ‘80s Top 40 radio. Their 1987 release Midnight to Midnight because their highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit single “Heartbreak Beat.” The Furs went on hiatus in the ‘90s and reformed in 2000 for a co-headlining tour with The Go-Go’s and B-52’s. In 2017, the band's 1984 song "The Ghost in You" was featured in Netflix’s Stranger Things.

This was an awesome show! Seeing one of the popular bands from the 80’s cranking out all their hits made for an awesome concert.
Great set list, sound quality and lighting good for the venue. Virtually no interaction with the crowd, only "thank you" after each song's applause. They play all the hits, as the tour title says so if you are a fan then check them out.
I have never seen an opener throw a tantrum and walk off the stage before: his poor band! The Furs were very tight but had zero personality.
The mighty Psychedelic Furs were in town last night at the Danforth Music Hall. I have seen them many times and it's been a while since they have played a set with so much of their earlier work. So great to see them open with Dumb Waiters then after We Love You they rip into a blustering Mrs. Jones! All the way through their show as usual Richard Butler along with brother Tim on bass and ace in the hole who makes everything so much better master sax player Mars Williams had energy that seemed endless. It always looks and sounds they are playing their first tour, Tim singing along to every song leaning into the audience and always on the move, Mars never stops and is never in one place more then a few notes leaning back with powerful solos. And the highlight Richard with the most energy and the body of a 24 yr old kneels in front of the audience, skips and jumps, never stops moving and delivers every note with a strong message using his full body to punctuate every note. Even when leaving the stage before their 2 encores he was going up the stairs 2 steps at a time. Such a treat to see these guys again! .
All the right songs were played, Robert can still belt it out. Fantastic sax playing, loved it.
Show was fantastic I think they sound better now
The sound was tight, vocals were excellent. Each and every song was delivered with enthusiasm as if it was the first time they had delivered it. Top class .
Brilliant! Richard Butler still has the moves! The sound was spot on! Quite an enjoyable evening if music.
very good, he has not lost his voice....however...more hits would have gone over better with me and the crowd. they are there for us, not their favourite tunes
First the Lemonheads: An opening band's job is to make people want to see more and get them pumped. Lemonheads were on the sour side. Zero connection with audience or their own band mates. Look up at the audience and smile once in the while and try to get them going, be excited to be there. They were rooted to the spot and barely moved often looking down sad and just playing. They are not all that tight and dressed like they just woke up. Hey the stage is already stripped down and bare. It was like watching a basement band and these guys have been at it forever. Fail... The Psychedelic Furs: I had their 1980 album in 1982 and saw them mid 80's. I'm a fan and an early supporter. People came down to the stage, I was front and center. Tim was in fine form and engaging with everyone up front, like a pro. Mars Williams on sax is awesome, looks the part and is so critical to the Furs sound, dead on! Rich Good looks like we did back in the 80's he fits in well and can play, although they are not really a guitar band, he's well suited to be there. Amanda Kramer from Worldparty on keys! Cool but somehow awkwardly, disconnected. Maybe because she was so far over to the side. Get a mobile strap on keyboard and have fun with the boys. Very 80's goth vibe coming from her. Paul Garisto on drums solid enough but not standout, the music does not lend itself to overly complicated back beat. Richard looks great still and has the voice thankfully. His iconic poses did not disappoint but he was going through the motions a little bit with hand in pocket sauntering. He looked happy to be performing the hits. They played a good selection from the first 3 albums and could have played a ton more. Good length show left us wanting more. Richard only suggestion and it's minor get some contacts or dark prescription shades and and lose the cheap conservative suit and tie. Be the rockstar you are and lets see that energy regardless if most the old people are sitting. Great show overall. Buy your tickets people it's classy music for cool people :)
Very tight and sound was very good. Highly recommend the Furs!!! Richard and Tim Butler are amazing!!!
How can they still be on-stage acting like rock stars when much of their skinny is falling from their bones? Trying to keep up with the folds was psychedelic.
The Furs have always been 1 of my favs from the past. Had never gotten chance to see them. So great to hear and see so upclose. Played all of my favourite tunes and some great new ones. My buddy and had a blast. Thanks
I have seen The Psychedelic Furs many different times and have loved every one of their concerts. I saw them in the '80's @ Maple Leaf Gardens and they still play and entertain amazingly! The only complaint I have is that they need to perform at a larger Venue. Lee's Palace is too small for them! Thanks!!
Had the best time! Richard Butler has amazing stamina! The music was great, they sounded amazing. What an great night!!
What an amazing show!!!!! I've seen them three times in the last two years and they keep getting better each and every time!!
Saw Seattle show. P Furs sound as great as they did in the 80s & put on an excellent show. Worth the price of admission. She Likes Revenge went well with the headliner & played a few new songs.
Both Bands (She wants revenge and The "Furs") were excellent!!! Both singers talked with the audience and made everything great. Something bad: the Lee's Palace. The place didn't have AC, and it was terrible with all people sweating!!!... I hope a band that I like won't play in that place...
Awesome energy from start to finish ... Tuesday night and Lee's Palace was packed with Furs fans ... even saw Mark Holmes from Platinum Blonde there :) Opening band She Wants Revenge were equally amazing ... best show I've seen in a long time!!!
It was an awesome night. They played all their old favourites and the crowd was singing along. The Furs sound exactly the way they did in the 80's. We really enjoyed ourselves. Disappointed that people were not really dancing much...also Lee's Palace was really warm inside...not the greatest air circulation. But their bartenders ROCK!!
