    Never Was A Cornflake Girl

    by SClub7 on 2015-08-05Massey Hall - Toronto

I have been listening to Tori Amos for over 2 decades and she will always be my favourite musician. Her music has taught me so much about life and her lyrics have helped me through some difficult times in my life. I have seen her in concert 4 times, but never once in the city I live in...she is worth travelling for and she is just a true raw talent. You have never seen anyone play the piano/keyboards like Tori - it's haunting, honest, emotionally charged, sexual, joyful...you will experience such a variety of emotions watching her. I was mesmerized. I am grateful to have happened upon such a talented artist - she's amazing and I hope to see her again in my life!

Tori at the Boston Opera House.

by DiggoryVenn on 2014-08-21Boston Opera House - Boston

I've waited a long time to see Tori in concert and I wasn't disappointed! Tori's voice and piano playing were in fine form. She played most of my favourites, except "Bells for her", sadly. She did play my new favourite, "Oysters" and a fabulous rendition of "Jackie's strength". Her cover of "Please come to Boston" in the Lizard Lounge was another highlight. I can't wait to see Tori again!

Tori Amos a truly amazing experience!

    by mojave3 on 2014-08-17Massey Hall - Toronto

This was my first time having the opportunity to see Tori Amos and I am so pleased to have been able to see her on this tour. Her show far exceeded my expectations and her choice of repertoire to sing in Toronto was amazing. I actually loved every song - even the ones I was less familiar with. The stage set, gorgeous grand piano and her unique styling was awesome to watch and to hear. The opening act was decent as well. All in all an incredible night and I would most definitely go to see her again in concert in a heartbeat!

    Unforgettable

by EarsWithFeet on 2014-08-11Massey Hall - Toronto

What I wrote on Tori's facebook fan page: YOU ARE AMAZING, TORI. There are no words. Tonight was my 3rd time seeing you and it just gets more awesome every time. The first time I saw you was in 2005 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in the rain, the second time was in 2011 at Massey Hall and again tonight at Massey Hall. Such an amazing venue for you. I loved when you said it was like you were sitting in our collective living rooms. Haha. You have no idea what your music has seen me through. I'm nearly 32. Discovered your music at 19, right away decided that I would take piano lessons because I wanted to play like you. (Never going to happen) Thanks for playing Joni Mitchell during Lizard Lounge. I also don't think I've ever heard you play iiee or Past The Mission but I could be wrong. When you have a chance please post your setlist, I want to save it.

    Tori was stunning, as always!

    by BlueInky6 on 2014-08-07Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

What a treat! Tori was in fine form and played a set of mainly older songs. She did perform "Selkie" from her newest album and another track that I am blanking on at the moment. Absolutely breathtaking show!

Tori Amos live is always amazing; this show was no different. It was the first of her North American leg and the crowd was really into it. An unforgettable night!

    Wow Awesome!!!!

    by swaston17 on 2014-07-22Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

I didn't know what to expect...I had never seen Tori in concert before, But OMG! She is incredible!!!! I am so happy I decided to go and see her! She totally rocked the whole time and It was at the Orpheum here in Vancouver (one of the oldest theatre's here and it's beautiful too) I felt like I was at one of those concerts where only the biggest fans go (like Dave Matthews or Jack Johnson or even The Dead) Everyone stood up and cheered for her when came on the stage at the very beginning! Louder than I've heard in a while!!! So cool! She had her grand piano and right behind it a keyboard set up behind it with her piano bench in-between. She played sitting facing the audience on the bench and then played both the keyboard and grand piano at the same time!!! Then switched back and forth throughout the concert. She didn't play Flying Dutchmen(my favourite), but that was ok, she has such a unique voice and the way she plays the piano is so beautiful! She was incredible. Then closer to the end of the show she told everyone to get up out of their seats and come up to the front! Wow...She sure loves her fans! Well, if you ever get a chance to see her I would completely recommend it!!! I would love to see her again! Anyways, I just wanted to share that with you! It was such a great experience last night!!! What a performance!!!! :) <3

a freer, more powerful Tori Amos

    by Sand123 on 2014-07-19Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

As always Tori Amos marries lived experience and embodied imagination with her marvellous expressive range. The July 16th show gave us more of that endless abundance. It has been said that she draws you in in a whole body kind of way and so you don't really need to know the words to any given song. Great musicians do this. Great performers in general do this. At one moment she could be singing / expressing from her knee cap in the next she may be up in the attic of her sound like a great Hadrasaur. I call her "the singing shaman". Her piano playing is the great gift she always brings. Unrepentant Geraldines at The Orpheum was better than ever. This was my third T Amos show in 12 years.

    Beautiful night

by Stoneswriter on 2014-07-19Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

This was one of the bed shows I've been to - Tori gave an excellent performance with a really great variety of songs. Bachelorette had everyone totally entertained, and her anecdotes to the crowd were funny and sweet. She did a couple of cover songs, which was awesome. I was so totally impressed with the whole thing, and so glad I flew in to see herb I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

    Simply Amazing

by Staranise on 2014-07-19Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

It's not often that I see a performer that is far better live than on album. Tori is one of them. I was captivated from the moment she went on stage until the moment she left.

    Tori Delivers

by LongRider on 2014-07-19Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tori's performance exceeded my expectations. She thrilled our senses with her friendliness, humour, enthusiasm and most of all her music. She was radiant in her gown and leather which exuded femininity. The lighting was brilliant in that it matched the moods of the music. The venue of the Orpheum Theatre is beautiful and worth seeing on its own. The sound quality was exceptional as well.

She was flawless, truly the most talented female singer/songwriter.

Tori is always amazing, even if she didn't play any of my favourite songs. Vancouverites are the worst crowd for a concert... they always stand up for anything, so the people behind them are forced to stand up too in order to see. Too bad for a seated concert in a theatre.

    Tori Amos in Vancouver

by Nunici on 2011-12-15Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tori was simply amazing and beautiful!!!!! I was completely blown away by her performance. No matter if you listen to her on a CD, internet or life, she is a professional whose performance is always consistent, refreshing, and full of contagious energy and spiritual inspiration at the same time. She knows well what she sings about, she is not afraid to share and show her feelings with the audience throughout her performance and she is so, so giving. Tori played 2 strong hours, took just one sip of water and gave all of us there everything! The string quartet that accompanied her was in great symbiosis with her and together they created a once in a life time experience for all of us. I love you Tori and I feel blessed having the opportunity to see you for real.

    Fabulous Concert!

by jackiemac on 2011-12-15The Orpheum - Vancouver

This was my 5th time seeing Tori, and this was one of her best concerts. The string quartet was a perfect complement to Tori's pianos, and she seemed to really enjoy their energy. This Night of Hunters tour has an intimacy that the past concerts for Strange Little Girls and Scarlett's Walk didn't quite have to the same degree (though they were great concerts too). The Orpheum is my FAVE venue to hear Tori. She played a fantastic array from all her albums, with old classics and new songs as well, with a great twist from the quartet. LOVE LOVE LOVE her music! :)
