Legendary New York-bred singer-songwriter Billy Joel has toured only sporadically in recent years, but fans have plenty of opportunities to score tickets to see him in concert going forward -- if they're willing to head out to New York's Madison Square Garden. Joel signed an open-ended deal with MSG that will have him playing a concert at the venue once per month for as long as there's demand. And demand has never been a problem for Joel at he historic New York venue; he played his first show there in 1978, and had logged 46 concerts at the arena by 2013.
New York isn't alone in its love for the singer. Joel has long been established as one of the top-grossing touring artists in the U.S., and has sold more than 150 million records over the course his four-decade career. After recording a long string of hits including "Piano Man," "New York State of Mind," "Just the Way You Are," "You May Be Right," "Pressure," "Uptown Girl," "We Didn't Start the Fire," and "The River of Dreams," Joel decided that he was done writing pop and rock songs. It's a decision he's stuck with; it's been more than 20 years since he's recorded a new pop or rock album. He's composed new classical material instead, while continuing to play songs from his catalog in concert.

Billy Joel was amazing! He put on a great show and played for a solid 2 hours. His voice was still remarkable. My only regret is that there were a few songs I would have like to have heard, but when he has such a repertoire he couldn't play everything! I also enjoyed his commentary throughout the concert.
Unbelievable! The music was amazing. Billy still has it and spoke with the audience a bunch. He was very engaging ANC funny.
I saw Billy Joel in Vegas a few years ago, and he didn't disappoint again. He was even better! Loved it! Loved it!
This is the second time I have seen him and he does not disappoint!!!! Not just a good singer but a real entertainer. Only wish he had sung "Just the Way You Are"
Billy Joel has been an entertainer for half a century, and his performance was beyond all my expectations. His voice was beautiful, he sang all my favorite songs and hex was witty and charming. I will continue to buy a ticket to Billy Joel's concerts for as long as he chooses to perform .
that was a wonderfull experience, we enjoyed the performances, even after so many years Billy still has the magic in his music that made people sing and dance. Loved it!
i would recommend only to see billy joel and to hear his music. as far as this concert went, the music was too loud as we could not hear the words he was singing. to pay these prices for tickets is crap. i want to be able to hear as well as see the artist who is playing. maybe you could pass this along as i'm sure i am not the only person who feels this way. my ears are still ringing.
Love the man and his music. Always so engaging with the audience and a great entertainer. I try to see him whenever he comes to town.

At age 64 Billy has the pipes and hits all the notes. His band is extremely talented especially Crystal Tyler Farrow who plays multiple instruments and has been with Billy for many years. Where is Liberty on drums? All the big hits were played and then some. This is the 4th time I have seen Billy and he never disappoints.
Billy Joel is an entertainer. He didn't just sit there and sing and play the piano. He engaged the audience and joked and seemed to enjoy the experience as much as we did. His library is so extensive that, of course, there were going to be songs you wished he had performed but we cannot say there was one song we were sorry he did perform. I would see him again and again.
I took my daughter there, the opening act, Jon Mclaughlin was very impressive and Billy entertained us with his humour and music that left the whole audience dancing in the seats and the aisles. We absolutely LOVED it! I highly recommend it!
Hands down one of my top three concerts of all time - and there have been many (all genres).
What an amazing show!! This is the fourth time I have seen Billy Joel in over 18 years and he has NOT lost a beat. The man's voice and piano playing was fantastic. His band was excellent too! My only regret was he didn't play for 3 hours. I hope he comes back to Toronto again. I hope he does not retire for awhile. The man is incredible live!!
After a long time off touring, Billy was back at the ACC, full house, great show, Setlist was a mix of rarer songs and the hits, connected very well with the audience
Billy has high energy for a 65 yr old and going 2 hrs 10 minutes non stop says volumes. Will go again to ACC when he comes again. Sound and lighting were superb.
What a great entertainer! He has a great sense of humour, played for 2 hours straight and then played another 4 songs for the encore. Would go again in a heartbeat! Opening Act was good also!
