About

Chris Stapleton was a fixture of the Nashville music scene long before becoming a contemporary torchbearer for outlaw country music. The Kentucky native moved to the Music City in 2001 and served as frontman for The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers while writing songs for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and more. Stapleton unveiled his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 behind singles like “Nobody to Blame” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Tennessee Whiskey.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 six months after its release and has since been RIAA-certified platinum six times. In 2017, Stapleton released the two-volume effort From a Room, and his fourth full-length Starting Over followed in 2020. Stapleton has won eight Grammys and received two additional nominations in 2023 for his fifth album, Higher. Aside from working alongside country music heavyweights like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack and Morgan Wallen, Stapleton has also shared the mic with pop elites such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Timberlake, P!NK and Ed Sheeran.

  • Chris Stapleton At Budweiser Stage

by Cheens on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show! Got through the security and my tickets were scanned quickly. Staff was friendly. I was on the floor and staff were handing out water bottles. I’ve been to many shows at Budweiser and this was the first I saw that, so that was great for the fans!

  • Amazing Show

by Emma on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time I've seen Chris Stapleton live, and I would go see him again in a heart beat! He played a lot of hit songs which really got the crowd going, he sounds exactly like his recorded songs, honestly even better live! Few slower songs in the middle which sort of lost the crowd a bit. The only negative I would say was with the venue, bathrooms were lined up for 20 mins. And a lot of people hanging out at the top of our section standing, made it hard to walk around, no security monitoring.

  • Awesome!

by Powerm on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

No complaints, enjoyed the concert and venue very much. Chris did a wonderful job and I can’t wait to do it again.

  • Chris was great, poor venue

by InnDeb on 2023-08-21Rating: 4 out of 5

Loved that all 3 acts were on time. Chris was great. Glad that I’ve seen him but won’t return to Budweiser. Getting to and from that venue was a nightmare.

  • Not the Best Event I've Been Too

    by But2fly on 2023-08-21Rating: 3 out of 5

Chris Stapleton was amazing as usual. However, I found the sound not as good as I have previously experienced at Budweiser Stage. I could not understand anything that Chris was saying during the concert as well as hard to really clearly hear words of each song. While I understand that audiences like to stand for concerts I found it very difficult standing for the whole concert as the audience was doing especially since the floor is slanted so quite hard on the feet and back. Also, I had people in front of me who were not only tall but wearing a cowboy hat which made it impossible for me to see the stage at all. If it wasn't for the screens I would not have seen anything.

  • Amazing experience

by Cm on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Talented live performer. No variance from recorded to live vocals. Great energy on stage. Only wish I bought better seats!

  • OUTSTANDING !!

by Deb on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Excellent venue for a magnificent artist. We were on our feet all night long!!!

  • Amazing concert - stupid people

by Nicole on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

The concert was absolutely amazing! However, there needs to be some way of controlling the absolute chaos during the concert. There needs to be more security at Budweiser stage. I have been to a lot of concerts there, and never have I seen so many drunk, belligerent people as I did at this concert. People fighting. People throwing up. My daughter, and I lost our seats because of three drunk women that refused to move and took over our seats as well as ours. By the time we got security involved. We missed a good chunk of the concert. Which I paid good money for.

  • Awesome!

    by Jen111 on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Great opening bands! Stapleton was awesome. Loved the stage set up. Lights and colours were beautiful. Wish it wasn't such a crush of people leaving at the end. Price to pay for sold out!

  • Great show horrible washroom conditions and situation

by Kris on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Never seen such horrible washroom conditions at bud stage. More women in the men’s washroom as well. Gotta get that figured out.

  • Chris was amazing and the storm held off!

by Laura on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I had a great time at Chris Stapleton. Have been to the Budweiser Stage in the rain never with severe thunderstorms in the forecast. Budweiser did an amazing job at ensuring we were able to see Chris Stapleton's show and still be safe. Chris' show was phenomenal and thank you soooo much for coming on early so we could see your show...sorry to miss your opening bands, thank you for bringing them out on stage so we could see a little of their talents! Amazing time!

  • Awesome

Ticketmaster was very pro active when deciding to start show earlier due to weather… Very much appreciated by many if not all fans that evening. Show was amazing got it all in before the RAIN. Would have liked a little more inter action from Chris and his fans.

  • Exactly what we expected

by Ryan on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Chris is an amazing artist. Took my father to the concert for his birthday and he really enjoyed the show. Amazing opening acts and Chris was everything we thought he’d be! Such a great show and time, that was worth every penny!

  • Freaking awesome!!

by Dar on 2023-08-21Rating: 5 out of 5

Stapleton is a killer performer and Budweiser is a great venue. Added bonus was CNE admission with ticket….a whole night of fun!! PS Stapleton doesn’t interact a lot with the audience… he just rocks out with the guitar and a STELLAR voice. We are there for the music, right? ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
