Dave Matthews Band in Concert
With a career spanning more than 27 years, Dave Matthews Band is one of the most influential bands in rock history. In 1991, vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews decided to put some songs he had written on tape and sought the assistance of drummer Carter Beauford and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who were both accomplished jazz musicians in the local Charlottesville, VA music scene. 16-year-old bassist Stefan Lessard came on board shortly thereafter. Their infectious, distinctive sound garnered lots of early attention and a die-hard loyal fan base, catapulting the band into one of the most successful touring acts of the past three decades.
The group has since released nine studio albums and numerous live recordings, selling a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs combined since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming. The GRAMMYĀ®-winning band's many hits include "What Would You Say," "Crash Into Me," "Too Much," "Everyday," "American Baby," "Funny The Way It Is," "Mercy" and "Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin)."
Founding member LeRoi Moore passed away in August of 2008 and the band paid tribute to him with 2009's Platinum-certified Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Dave Matthews Band has since welcomed longtime collaborators/touring musicians Jeff Coffin (saxophone), Rashawn Ross (horns) and Tim Reynolds (guitar) into the lineup and - most recently - keyboardist Buddy Strong.
With 2018's Come Tomorrow, Dave Matthews Band became the first group in history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In a Critic's Pick review, The New York Times observed, "willed optimism fills the songs on 'Come Tomorrow,' while cynicism and irony are nowhere within earshot... each song notes the fears and sorrows it's determined to overcome. The music does that, with consolation in its melodies and a life force in its rhythms."
Renowned for their live performances, Dave Matthews Band has sold over 24 million tickets since its inception and ranked as the biggest ticket seller worldwide of the past decade. The group's Bama Works Fund, established in 1999, has raised more than $52 million dollars for humanitarian and environmental initiatives.
Dave never fails to be a fantastic musician and he and his band put on a great show!
Grest event and ticket service from Ticketmaster! Very easy to purchase and use!
Best DMB ever, played all the good songs!! Everyone in our group was happy and satisfied they got to hear the music they love. Weather was beautiful, food trucks provided yummy delights. Alcoholic beverages over the top expensive, but what are ya gonna do? DMB concerts always bring a happy loving fun crowd.
Great show, highly recommend. Great venue too. Well organized.
The concert is an experience. And at Budweiser stage itās an amazing one as youāre outside (kind of, and depending where your seats are). It didnāt feel like just a life set list, it felt like a flowing musical dance from start to finish
I have been waiting to see them for 20 years, and they did not disappoint! The band sounded fantastic, and Dave sang as beautifully as ever!!! Thanks for an amazing night!!!
Music was great, high energy! A phenomenal first DMB show for me!
Dave Mathews Band is a must see! He played for three hours with no set breaks. I am always going mpressed by the quality fan base DMB attracts to his shows. The diversity in spectator ages always impresses me and everyone at the show brings a friendly vibe! As for DMB the performance they put onnis second to none and they are worth every penny to go see. I highly recommend as it will be an experience you will want to re visit time and time again!
A little less energy than most DMB shows, but still a great set list and overall experience. DMB still has it after all these years.
He always puts on an amazing show. Jsut would like to hear some of his older classics. That wpnt stop me from attending every year he visits Toronto.
As usual Dave Matthews band puts on a amazing performance. 2 nights in a row all different songs. That was my 44 and 45 time seeing him and will see him again in 3 weeks. I recommend it.
We were totally pumped to see DMB at last and his set list totally sucked! They played far too much from their new album, which is definitely far from my favourite, there were too many B-sides played and not nearly enough of their well-known songs. We left before the end, along with a steady stream of others. The people beside us were extremely upset at the song selection. They were also much bigger DMB fans than we are.
the dave matthews band concert was amazing as always!!!
Best concert yet!! Loved the sound ... an out door concert that was a bit windy and they still nailed the sound!! Awesome!!
DMB never fails to entertain. This concert was especially memorable as my son attended with me. He enjoyed himself very much but did not recognize a lot of the tunes. Mostly my fault as Crash is my favorite.
Thanks for the CD, but wish they played a few of his older songs
Great set list and mix of songs. Ants Marching finale was epic. They killed it, as usual!
Great concert but sound and camera were off so it was distracting.
DMB always put on a great show & this year they even went above and beyond and this venue is a great place for it!!!!
They played and had a great time while doing it. Such great sounds and lots of fun and passion for their music
