  • Great show

by JG on 2025-10-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The slightly eccentric David Byrne always puts on an amazing show with a great band. Despite the insane rising cost of tickets, he is one artist I will always try to go see when he's in town.

  • Burning Down The House

  • Best show ever

by Meg on 2025-10-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen a lot of shows in my life and this was one of the absolute best. Every second of that show was so creatively thought out. The choreography was amazing, the harmonies, the clever instrumentation. I wish I could see it again!

  • Fabulous

Great venue and a fabulous concert! Felt a bit like a Broadway musical and rock concert mixed into one amazing production!

  • So creative, so joyful

by Grey Mare on 2025-10-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have always appreciated how David Byrne can blend intelligence, savvy and artful physicality to crank up the entertainment value of his music. Kudos, also, to Musical Director Ray Suen for channeling the sounds directly into our hearts with rocket fuel intensity. This tour is thoughtful celebration at its best. (Same as it ever was.)

  • Remarkable

by Alejandro on 2025-10-26Rating: 5 out of 5

I love his new music. Still being creative at 76! He combined his new music with all the major classics!!!! Psychokiller, Once in a Lifetime, etc. So, you learn something new and he hits you next with his classics! Unbelievable. It is the best show I have ever been to. He can sing as well as 35 years go....no autotune!

  • What a night!

by Aud on 2025-10-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish this was a show not to be missed! So much more than just a concert! I wish I had gone the first night so I could have got tickets to see it again!!!

  • Once In A Lifetime

by SN on 2025-10-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding concert all the way around! Staging was off the charts creative (as one would expect) with the floor of the stage projecting images from below to support the back screen projections - no shadows to speak of. None of the 10 musicians were ever stationary at any part of the performance as the drum kit was divided up among 4 musicians and everyone was choreographed to move in sync. Music was tight and clear with no obvious flubs. Selection of songs was perfect - a healthy mix of his newer solo material and classic Talking Heads repertoire. Very well paced leading up to the final song and of course the encore (no spoiling for those yet to see). Never seen him before despite being an avid Talking Heads fan and holding an appreciation for much of his earlier solo work. It was totally worth the wait and I am not sure it could ever be topped. Truly a Once In A Lifetime experience.

  • Incredible!

by Sandra on 2025-10-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful experience! David’s performance was everything I had hoped it would be, and I loved the band and the dancers/vocalists who brought top notch performances to the stage. The background visuals and lighting added even more amazing levels of excellence to the show. We were on our feet dancing the whole time. I didn’t want the show to end. Thank you David for bringing your talents to Toronto!

  • Great show

by Chris Owen on 2025-10-25Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Saw David Byrne at Massey Hall in Toronto on Oct 21. Amazing performance, full of joy and energy. Crowd was on its feet for most of the show. The Talking Heads classics got the most rapturous response, but the newer songs were also interesting and the visual aspects of the show were very innovative. If you're thinking of going, get the tickets, you won't regret it!

Bring a fan for over 45 years I was absolutely blown away with this performance! It is easily vying for the top spot in my ever growing live music experiences. Felt all the feelings and emotions, cried out of joy! Shared the night with wonderful people, so much energy. My first time at Massey Hall. Can it get better?

This has nothing to do with Ticketmaster, and everything with David. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

  • My David - Still kicking it!

by Bell on 2025-10-24Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw David Byrne in 1983 in Montreal and again on October 21, 2025. Love him then still love him now. Highly recommend his current tour. It’s a blast. I didn’t stay in my seat for any of it. Danced and sang along (quietly, so I could still hear him clearly and not bother anybody around me) the whole night. David was amazing and his band and back up singers were great as well. Such a fun night.

When I saw the American Utopia show several years ago in Toronto it blew me away. Wednesday night's performance of An Evening With David Byrne was 'American Utopia on Steroids'! Not to be missed.
