Been to many, many, many Concerts in my time. David Gray is in my Top Five!
The David Gray concert was lit 🔥 his energy and vocals were amazing !! The entire experience was fabulous from start to finish ! He gave his all and it was truly appreciated !💜
Really an awesome concert in every way. First set of hits and then he kicked it up a notch with White Ladders album.Crowd singing many of the big hits.Great ending with Soft Cell Tainted Love and 2 Bowie songs from Hunky Dory album
Everything that music is meant to be, joyous, full of life and allowing us the privilege to tell friends who weren’t there, what they missed. A stamping, white man kind of manic dancing that drove the crowd along, who in turn reciprocated by providing an arena to combust with the music
We’ve seen David Gray before, at the QE. Great concert. Usually my policy is “been there, done that”, but since we hadn’t been to a concert for 2+ years, I bought tickets. SO glad I did. It was great, from start to finish, every single song. He had a good time and so did we. Two and a half hours… oldies and new songs. 10/10!
David Gray has been a favorite for many years. Always plays with passion and intensity.
We waited a long time to see this concert, and it was absolutely worth the wait! David was a fantastic performer, and we must make special mention of the original drummer who was in the second half for all of the white ladder songs. He was so entertaining and clearly so passionate about his talent and sharing it with everybody.
Excellent venue to provide an intimate setting for an evening with David. Great energy and he did not disappoint. Look forward to his return!
Loved everything about it. He was so lively from the second he stepped out into the stage til the end…..amazing voice. Thank you for coming to play in our city❤️❤️❤️ Looking forward to see you again soon😍
This was the best concert I have ever been to. David, his band and the crowd was rocking the theatre. This was a great come back after Covid. Already looking forward to his next tour. Come back soon David.
David did not disappoint. I've seen him a few times, but I would say this one was the best. Not only did he do a whole bunch of his songs before the intermission, but he also played White Ladder in its entirety consecutively. You don't often get to hear an album consecutively in a concert. After Say Hello, Wave Goodbye he came back for an encore where where he played Tainted Love and really rocked out. He then told us a great story, played some David Bowie (who was pivotal in his story) and then played another of his songs to end the night. All in all, we were there for 2 hours and 45 minutes and he only took a 20 minute break. This show was nothing short of phenomenal.
Great singer songwriter and musician. Band was bang on.
David put on an incredible show! One of our most favourite performances of all time. He fed off of the energy of the audience which in turn, fed off of his energy. Truly epic! Thank you David Gray for bringing back White Ladder!!
I’ve seen a ton of shows in my time a was on the fence when I committed to see David Gray live. What an absolutely brilliant performance! Most artists that were popular in the 90’s tend to have shows that are nostalgic yet a bit disappointing. Gray was better than when I saw him during the first White Ladder tour. Much better actually. His voice was powerful, he hit the highs, and because of his experience, he knows how to entertain. The White Album songs alone would have made me happy as he absolutely killed it. There was more however and because I don’t want to ruin the experience for those going later on, let’s say there were some fantastic surprises along the way. If you can manage to see him, by all means do it. I promise you’ll be thrilled that you did.
Great set list by one of our favourite artists! Acoustics at the amphitheater leave a bit to be desired. Managed to take the whole family including our 4 and 6 year olds, and they all loved it right till the end! Also managed to upgrade our seats which was awesome!
The night began slowly with songs from a wide range of albums. The seats filled slowly and people were talking all around us. The show seemed to lack some energy. Then the band took a 20 minute break. . After the break DG came out in a white suit and proceeded to play the entire White Ladder album. The energy was 10 x's better, the band was rocking and the crowd was really into it. For his most popular songs he played and extended version and encouraged a sing along for with the crowd. . He came out with a great encore, covering Tainted Love and a couple of Bowie songs. All in all a really great night.
David did not disappoint. He played it all. Loved every minute of it! I have seen David 3 times. This was my favourite. Thank you so much.
Fantastic show!! Thanks also to Budweiser Stage staff who upgraded our tickets to floor seats. Huge fan of Mr Gray and it was so great to see him up close.
I have been a huge fan of David Gray since the early 2000’s. It’s amazing to see how his White Ladder album sounded so good nearly 20 years later. He is a wonderful performer and captivated the audience with his voice. Everyone there seemed to know every lyric to his songs and loved every minute. I will say that there was something that seemed to interfere with his sound initially. Either the band was too loud or something was muffled with his mic. Overall I’d see him again anytime!
