  • Great talent. Exorbitant prices

by Chris on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Show was fantastic, David Gray was the best part As for the venue, it's always a shame when they close the lawn, our favorite place to sit. Fine, lawns are closed, so I spend a few hundred bucks on great seats. It doesn't stop there though. A pint is now $15! That's not enough though, they no longer accept cash, and they have these lovely screens that basically strong arm you into tipping a minimum of 15%. Which means if you're the sorry sap doing the beer run for you and your pals, your in for a $120 bill plus a suggestion of $18 tip.... For a handful of beers. This gouging knows no bounds. In most cases, the drinks will cost you more than the tickets. Get reasonable Budweiser, or you'll begin to see that people will be sneaking in more and more things to imbibe.

  • Great concert, venue wasnt the best experince this time

by Jammer on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was amazing, seats wer great but had people standing in the way and nobody asking them to move from the walkway in front of the seats. Had a security guard stand in the way for 20 minutes until we finally had to ask him to move over. Bought 2 coolers and were given warm ones out of the case. Was told we couldnt get big cups for ice as they were accounted for for beer so instead was given 2 little cups and had to go back twice to ask for more ice.

  • Great venue, lack of security

by Nadine on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

We loved the venue. The sound was amazing, the seating arrangement was perfect. It was a great night to be outside. However, there were many unruly (very drunk) spectators standing on their seats, yelling profanity, being very rude. Security never intervened.

  • What a show!

by Jo on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved how David Gray was the opening act to be able to hear him perform more songs from other albums. When it was time for White Ladder, he knocked our socks off full band, lights & voice resonating Please Forgive Me. He knows how to get the energy & excitement from the crowd and everyone went wild. Band was solid & David Gray was just as I expected— humble, gracious & a great performer.

  • Concert was Great--The To and From Terrible

by Neil on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Something should be done about the transportation options for shows at the Budweiser Stage. We tried to get Ubers and cabs after the show after walking at least a kilometre. The cab drivers refused to take us because the trip was "too short". It was to the Distillery District--definitely too far to walk. I know that screening fares is illegal but the drivers do it anyway. No wonder people hate taking cabs.

  • Just wonderful

What a treat it was to see such a fantastic musician perform his craft so well!

This was the second time I saw David Gray live in Totonto and enjoyed it even more. I had tickets for 403 section, at the request of David Gray himself ticket holders in those sections were upgraded to better seats. Great show, great venue, great experience.👍🏼

  • David Gray concert Toronto

by Peter Westland on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

A little disappointed mainly due to two aspects, the acoustics and the scedule of music. Unbelievably for the first half of the performance the audience were not engaged and were chatting. In the second half the audience were more engaged but unfortunately the scheduling meant that one song would get the crowd up on their feet and the next couple would get them sitting down and not really engaging. The music which did engage the crowd for the encore were covers of David Bowie which doesn't say much for David Gray's music. He is a great musician and vocalist so overall it was disappointing.

  • Best performance I’ve seen him give!

by Bless Hendrix on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I first discovered @davidgray ‘s White ladder album while on holiday in Paris, France 🇫🇷 in 2001 when I was 16 years old at a MASSIVE Virgin records store. A true record store find, I picked it up and listened in the store and was immediately hooked on this album. I listened on repeat and was sure to tell all my friends and family about this very special album. To my surprise, upon arriving back in Toronto from our trip, I found out he was playing at The Warehouse just a month or two after, I went to the show and the profound connection to this artist’s lyrics and music only got stronger. This concert is the only concert that I had tickets for over the pandemic that did not get cancelled just postponed, initially scheduled for July 2020! My family and I never lost hope and hung on to our tickets this entire time and I’m so glad we did! This was also my 5th time seeing him and I’m so thrilled that this was also my nephews first concert. What. A Show. It was a two part show, while the daylight was out he performed some of his greatest hits from ll his material. Then the band took a 20 minute break, wardrobe change and drummer change! (Craig “Clune” McClune From the orginal white ladder album) and off they went playing into the night sky to thousands of appreciative fans on a beautiful summer night. Once it was time for the encore, David came out and told an amazing story of meeting David Bowie at Glastonburry during the height of the success of White Ladder. He then proceeded with a ln amazing cover of “Life On Mars” truly an unforgettable performance! Life is Beautiful ✨❤️ See you next time David!

  • Amazing

by Bubba on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Had an incredible time, got to meet my favorite artist on the planet. The venue was great, with seperate bar/lounge areas, Amex louge was a real treat as opposed to waiting on a picnic table or at the seats pre show.

  • David Gray...Toronto

Best.Concert.Ever We sang and danced all night long. Thank you, David!

  • Great show!

by CS on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Fabulous show! Great set list of new and old performed by a tight well rehearsed band. Lighting and sound were solid. Worth the wait! Not much to improve - the only down side would be the $15 canned drinks dragging down the otherwise great atmosphere :-|

  • So good

by Danny on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Will sum it up this way. Before leaving the concert I posted on Facebook to my friends that David Gray just NEVER disappoints. Following the concert we struck up a conversation with another couple waiting for their bus. When I asked if they had been at the concert as well the woman's response to us was "Yes we were. He never disappoints." Had to laugh but it is so true. He always plays like its his first concert of the year and seems to be enjoying every minute of performing. Excellent band. He just never disappoints :)

  • Great Intimate Show

  • Disappointment

by Marco on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Fortunate to have seen David perform before. The venue sound system was lousy for someone further back. For a lyrical singer, getting muffled sounds is brutual. You could not make out a single word on his tribute to Bowie. Minor beef...but who goes on at 8 pm? We have too many rules for people squatting on an island. Worst show ever.

  • Well worth the wait!

by Aud on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a fabulous show and you could truly tell that David and the band were just as happy to be there as we were! Fantastic show!

  • Love David Gray

    by C3mtl on 2022-07-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Love David Gray but the acoustic were not the greatest. Of course it is a live event but it was difficult to make out the little quick talks/blurbs that David Gray does between songs. I would have appreciated more accurate description of the seats available at the venue. Ours were slightly rusted old seats with an open back. Overall it was great!
