About

Industrial metal pioneers Ministry bring their synth pop heavy repertoire to Download 2020. Fourteen studio albums since their inception in 1981, including their seminal LPs Twitch, The Land Of Rape and Honey and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and their mainstream breakthrough LP Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs, have cemented Ministry as one of the most consistent prolific heavy artists of modern times. With a new line up, incredibly full sound, and some might say a return to the roots of Ministry, the band is prepared to release a record that is socially relevant and sonically effective.

Darkcell are one of Australia's fastest rising acts and will open for Ministry in their hometown. Formed in Brisbane in 2012, the band has performed over 220 shows to date. Packing stadium level hooks and a loud, abrasive and industrial rock sound, they have been tagged as a ‘modern day Kiss’. Larger than life stage show, party vibes and dance grooves give a fun atmosphere and keep fans coming back for more.

  • Awesome show!

Awesome show, great line up! I loved the rethink on the older material. I connect to the heavier material better but to be honest between the last two shows. This one was so spot on. Opening up an interesting link between two very different styles. Helping one understand that there was a connection all along! Thanks for the awesome show! Sage.

The show covered their first two albums. It had high energy and great sound; it was a solid show top to bottom. If they return, I would definitely love to see them again. Great fun.

Wow, what a mind blowing show! All of the bands were amazing. My favourite was Die Krupps. Their energy was out of this world and the set list fantastic!

It was great, close to the stage. Beer & food available watching and getting into the music. Ministry was great and Die Krupps was awesome. The crew I went with and myself, loved the experience. Thanks

Ministry bringing industrial bands to winnipeg, went last year to basically just see Front Line Assembly girl who i sat beside last year remembered me, didn't ask for her number (fml) Die Krupps was also another band that i wanted to see, hopefully they do come back again and bring other bands that are in the industrial/ebm/aggrotech/even futurepop scenes, seeing as how basically all the bands that make that music either just go to the US, europe, toronto, ottawa, or vancouver

Al J. Is not very talented, but also very smart! He definitely realised that the typical Industriel Metal scene is rspidly shrinking and presented a trendy synth-pop revision of earlier era of Ministry with beatiful flashy aestetics, roses and hot femaly dancers! Two thumbs up!!

  • Great show!
