About

Having recently completed another successful run with Pixies and Cat Power, Modest Mouse continues to prove themselves to be one of the most consistent live acts today. Modest Mouse released their highly anticipated new album, The Golden Casket, on June 25, 2021 via Epic Records. The Golden Casket heralds another new chapter in the GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi platinum band's unpredictable evolution. Produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and in Modest Mouse's studio in Portland, the album hovers in the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science, frontman Isaac Brock explores themes ranging from the degradation of our psychic landscapes and invisible technology, to fatherhood. The twelve tracks behave like amorphous organisms, undergoing dramatic mutations and mood swings that speak to the chronic tug-of-war between hope and despair that plays out in Brock's head.

  • Amazing time with two amazing bands!

    by Nofx516 on 2025-10-16History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Modest Mouse show with Built to Spill as the opener. Both bands were super tight and sounded great! History in Toronto was a great venue. That was our first time there. The sound and atmosphere were both incredible! Thank you, Modest Mouse and Built to Spill for putting on great shows! Can’t wait until the next time!

  • Mouse deliver Moon & Antactica in full

    by Steve A on 2025-10-16History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue in which to see my favorite band. Isaac was really up for it, tearing through The Moon & Antarctica in full. Four other songs followed including the unreleased Dog bed/Sheetrock. A good way to spend an evening and it never gets old after seeing them 20 times.

They are such a tight band, and perform so well together. His voice is iconic, and I loved every minute! Intimate show with 2500 people, made everything that much better!

  • Fire it up!

    by Mouseman25 on 2024-11-20History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most tight performances I've ever seen. The crowd was a little sedated, but it was a Sunday, so I can't fault people too much. Great sound at this specific venue as well. Good crowd interactions.
