  • Good concert

by Katiecat on 2025-09-16Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 3 out of 5

Neil was great, his voice still pristine and his music still relevant The first back up band was pretty good too The revival climate band was not my cup of tea I could’ve done without them

  • Neil Young show

by Knotskull on 2025-09-16Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 4 out of 5

Attended the second show at Deer Lake on Beautiful late summer evening. we were all really impressed by the quality of the sound. Our main complaint was viability at the venue is poor unless you’re right up front. There were no screens to view Neil and the band play, most people stood during their performance or the stage was obscured by the sound tent. I was with older fans who couldn’t sit on the ground all afternoon nor stand all evening. Screens would have significantly improved our experience and is a barrier for us to attend future performances.

Didn't play my 2 favorite songs 😫 didn't enjoy the seating at all.

  • Love and freedom tour

by Woodstock Wightman on 2025-09-12Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 4 out of 5

The concert itself the music was amazing. I thought Neil Young totally rocked. What would’ve been nice is if there was a bit more seating as getting up and down on the ground is not an easy thing to do when you’re older but other than that, I enjoyed the venue. Location was good. We managed to find parking And it was free, which was amazing so kudos that Neil Young totally rocked. It could’ve been a little louder, but I understand there’s a community that you have to take into consideration, but a little louder would’ve been nice. Thank you for bringing him back to Vancouver.

  • Surreal

by Grant in PA on 2025-09-12Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was amazing. The outdoor venue under a full moon was surreal when Neil pertormed Harvest Moon. I sincerely appreciated the ADA area for patrons with mobility issues.

  • Sound system excellent, but a problem of people standing

by Professor Pete on 2025-09-12Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 5 out of 5

Only one problem. Given that it was an outdoor concert on a gently sloping hillside, no effort was made by organizers to keep people on the hill from standing up, blocking the view of everyone behind them who did not also stand. We rarely saw the stage or the performers. Can't this be controlled a bit better by having a few people go round to tell people (except at the front near the stage) to sit down and not be so selfish?

  • Great concert

by MARCEL on 2025-09-12Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 5 out of 5

Neil Young may be near 80, but he put on a great show with his band the chrome hearts. His voice still sounds the same and he can still wield a mean axe. He gave it his all with a great mix of new songs and old favorites. Definitely would see him again. Thanks Neil for a great concert.

  • LOve Earth

by Omichael on 2025-09-11Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 5 out of 5

Loved seeing and hearing Neil. I saw Buffalo Springfield open for the Chambers Brothers on a December night long ago at the Pacific Coliseum. At Deer Lake I was puzzled to see 2 warm up bands, neither of whom were introduced. How hard would it be to throw up a slide on the screen to say who the blonde haired moppet was that started the show? What if I liked her band and wanted to hear them again? My phone cakked out ( no wifi ) just as I was entering the venue… stress… but the events staff sorted it out. I can’t wait to see the new shed venue on the PNE grounds when it opens.

  • Fun, bucket list event

by Carol on 2025-09-11Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 4 out of 5

Neil still sings as good as ever. Too bad he didn't sing many of his hits. Only a few. Was mostly about activism for climate change. The venue was good, except sitting on the ground was difficult for this particular crowd were mostly 60s and 70s year olds. Hard to get water as about 300 people lined up for it. Should be dispersed around site. Sound was good.

  • Great venue, Great evening , Great show

by GKB on 2025-09-11Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 5 out of 5

Neil put on a fabulous show and was in fine form thru out the performance… I only wished he played a bit more of his hits. But/ he can play what he wants and good on him for doing so!
