About

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic music band formed in Wirral, Merseyside in 1978. Founding members Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys pioneered a distinctive synth-pop sound, scoring major hits like "Enola Gay" and "Maid of Orleans." Rounded out by members Martin Cooper (keyboards, saxophone) and Stuart Kershaw (drums), OMD released several acclaimed albums in the 1980s, and have continued to record and perform over the decades.

  • A Religious Experience

by DJRMewzique on 2025-07-07History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I waited four decades to finally see Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark live...and it was as near a religious experience as I could have. The History venue in Toronto was absolutely superb, and thanks to a very kind representative at Ticketmaster who allowed me to upgrade three GA tickets to a VIP, I had a much-needed seat with amazing service....and an evening that was perfect. After waiting so long to see one of my favourite groups of all time, I could not have imagined a more perfect evening.

  • Amazing concert

by Matthewz on 2025-07-07History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Despite listening to OMD back in the 80's, they sound as good as back then. Amazing (smaller) venue with general admission got us up close which is always great. Really easy to get in and out, causal atmosphere. Enjoyed myself the whole time!

  • Memorable ezperience

It was great! Awesome! They are very nice for taking a pictures and autograph or signing the vynl and shirts.

  • Amazing as always

by Rob on 2025-07-07History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen OMD numerous times and they never disappoint. Only wish the setlist was similar to the European tour, where they play some of their older obscure hits. They always play their popular songs. Like a fine wine, they age better and better.

  • Beyond my expectations!

by DaBoss on 2025-07-07History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show. They did not disappoint! Delivered a show beyond my expectations. Also Walt Disco as opening act was exceptional. So lucky to have seen both. Took my 24 yo daughter who LOVED the show.

What an awesome set, 20 songs, including all of their hits, high energy, and good times and a great venue and happy to say I got to see OMD

  • AMAZING!

    by Heather I on 2025-07-07History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

OMG was amazing. I sang and danced and sang some more. They know how to interact with the audience and that just adds to the aweseomness. Walt Disco, the opening band, was fantastic and I am a new fan!

  • Good show, lousy venue.

by Glenn on 2025-07-07History - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Good show, lousy venue. Spent well over $400 to sit in the mezzanine level on a lounge chair, with a distant view of the stage, with people talking during the performance. Not to mention people sneaking up into the mezz level to grab an empty seat or hang around. The band were good, focusing on their singles. Though I would have preferred to see them in a better venue.

  • Never miss OMD live!
