  • Check Yes, We The Kings!

by Roanna on 2017-03-05Mod Club - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I've been listening to We the Kings for ten years, so getting a chance to hear them play the album that made me a fan live was pretty cool. They opened (and closed) with "Check Yes, Juliet", which got the crowd pumped, and the rest of the set was made up of the full album (not in order), and a handful of their newer songs, including the anthem "Just Keep Breathing". Singer Travis Clark chatted with the audience during the show, sharing anecdotes about some of the songs that they've been playing for ten years, and thanking us for making it possible for them to keep making music. We the Kings is always really energetic and fun to see live, and this time was no exception.

  • Take Action Tour Awesome, The Phoenix not so much.

by xorinaox on 2010-02-06The Phoenix Concert Theatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Waiting outside in the cold is not a problem for me when I am going to see my favorite band play. Mandatory coat check at a cost of my bus fair however, i mind greatly. The bands Three out of the Four bands I saw i know for sure were Awesome, i can't say for the opening band because I was coat checking therefore did not get to hear them. The security and bouncers were very rude, standing in the middle of what is clearly a two person hallway telling people not to push when simply walking around them was not an option. At one point I heard one of them say "stop pushing or I start hitting." I gave this show four out of five stars simply because the venue was a great disappointment. Otherwise it would have been five stars.

  • TAKE ACTION TOUR SAVES LIVES!!!

by loserpals123 on 2010-02-03The Phoenix Concert Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

yeah, this a very very tight show. there for tomorrow i unfortunately missed. but other than that it was overall great. a rocket to the moon played a great show, high energy, great vocals, great guitarists, and just a very fun time. mayday parade played really well as well. they had a cool intro, and all played really well, a little disappointed with their setlist, but great performance. we the kings, the headliner, the band everyone was stoked to see......disappointed me. i was never a huge fan, but i really enjoyed their music. but last night at the show i realized within the middle of the second song, that their lyrics are pretty cliche, and seem like they are trying to attract young kids who think that if they sing good and can play instruments, that their lyrics must me excellent. but in my opinion i dont think those lyrics are very true. but to their credit, they played reallllly well.

  • Made for an amazing night!

by Jacamoose on 2010-02-03The Phoenix Concert Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The whole night was amazing, all the bands were unbelievable live. They sounded the way they did recorded and it blew me away. WE the Kings and Mayday Parade were defiantly the highlights of the night, with Mayday Parades incredible energy and WE the Kings cracking jokes between songs. This was my first concert and because of how amazing this one was it will defiantly not be my last.
