ATREYU IN CONCERT:

Atreyu has been bringing the metalcore mayhem to stages big and small for nearly two decades, and they're as brutal as ever in the wake of 2015's acclaimed Long Live LP. In concert the band is a maelstrom of sonic ferocity, unleashing searing guitar riffs, undulating basslines, and blistering blast beats that always get fans thrashing. Frontman Alex Varkatzas leads the headbanging charge, issuing guttural growls and searing screams while he stalks around the stage with rabid intensity. The rest of the band is a well-oiled machine, alternating between hard-charging passages and heavy breakdowns with dizzying virtuosity. As the action in the pit heats up during favorites like "Falling Down" and "Becoming the Bull," fans can't help but get swept up in the adrenaline-fueled frenzy Atreyu whips up.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Atreyu formed in Orange County, CA in 1998 and hit the ground running with the EP Visions, a collection of seven hardcore punk-influenced tracks that they sold at their early shows. After releasing a second EP in 2001, the band signed with Victory Records and dropped their 2002 debut album Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses. The video for album single "Lip Gloss and Back" got significant airplay on MTV's Heabangers Ball, and the exposure paved the way for the success of the band's 2004 sophomore album The Curse, which sold more than 450,000 copies and cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard 200. The band's third album A Death-Grip on Yesterday was an even bigger success, topping the Rock and Hard Rock charts and drawing them out for extensive touring. Since then Atreyu has remained a metalcore mainstay thanks to their hard-hitting live shows and potent albums like 2015's Long Live.

    BEST CONCERT EVER!!!🤘🏾

by Naz on 2023-09-17Théâtre Beanfield - Montreal

This was my first ever concert I've attended in my life. I initially went for a another band but they never came. I had never heard of this band and the other ones that sang. Let me tell you something, every single songs each band sang, I was bopping my head to. Because of this concert, I finally discovered 3 more amazing bands.

Epic concert for a small venue!

by Eldrauger on 2023-09-15Théâtre Beanfield - Montreal

Concert was excellent! Loved the energy from all the bands that were there and the crowd. The venue also helped with the feeling of being up close to the band on stage. Another Day Dawns, Memphis May Fire and Atreyu were all great, made the place move and just made sure we had a good time all night long! I sure hope they all come back!

    Amazing show!

    by LooseCanon91 on 2023-09-15Théâtre Beanfield - Montreal

The show was amazing, at first i was disappointed that Catch your breath cancelled last minute but then the openers did a great performance to start things up. Memphis may fire did a crazy performance and played a great set list to set the tone for Atreyu to close out the event! Atreyu litteraly killed it, they played a crazy setlist from older hits like Right side of the bed, Becoming the bull, some recent stuff like Warrior, a first time live performance with Gone from their most recent record, the singer even came in the crowd and took shots at the bar!! But the most amazing part was when they came back with the encore as shown on setlist of previous show the encore was Blow but after that we got treated with a 2nd song that was not suposed to be played, the singer went on the drums like old times and they closed out the show with Bleeding Mascara it was a amazing performance probably once their best shows ever live!

Atreyu was amazing! They had a great mix of songs and were able to keep the crowd into it. However they should have only had two opening acts. Endless Hallway wasn't able to get the crowd into it and Chiodos was just noise. To Chiodos, the reason everyone was sitting down during your set is because you were bad. Flipping off the crowd and swearing at us wont do you any good. On the other hand, The Architects and Bless The Fall were very good at working the crowd. The only bad part of Atreyu is that they didn't play enough songs.
