"Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.
Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album."

62 and still going strong. Great voice, wicked guitar. Fabulous evening.
She was great, her voice is in top form and she had a terrific back up band. The crowd was up and down with standing ovations and she came back a did three more after that.
Bonnie Raitt was fantastic. What a powerful voice she has. She sang songs from her new album and old one. She interacted with the audience very comfortably. I would defiantely go see her again. Johnny Lee Sanders was really good but hard to understand when he talks too fast.
Bonnie Raitt was amazing! What a voice and bar none the best female guitar player on the planet!
Great show, she was marvelous along with her band. Not her fault but music was so loud words were distorted. Sound crew could have done a better job to manage acoustics.
Great singing, high audience appreciation (many standing ovations) and excellent seats.
I had always wanted to see Bonnie Raitt and never seemed to be near where she was booked in. What a concert. She had everyone in the palm of her hand. I would definitely go see her again. Magical!
The concert I was waiting for patiently for several months didn't disappointment. Bonnie Raitt still has it and more. Her guitar playing and singing is in a class by it's self.. For a person of 62, she oozes a sensuality a 20 year old would kill for. Bonnie played a nick of time with so much emotion, you could hear a pin drop in the audience. If she comes to a venue near you, GO!!!
I enjoyed the opening act as well as the main show with Bonnie and her great band. I especially liked how animated she was with the audience and didn't seem in a hurry to end the concert and played a great selection of old and new material - I bought the CD!
Bonnie Raitt is a legend for a reason. She was clearly totally at ease on the stage and was very open to interaction with the audience, which can be a rare thing these days. Her guitar playing and voice is second to none and her band was outstanding. What a thrill that she stopped by Calgary on her short 3 city Canadian leg on her tour. I'd go see her again in a heartbeat.
She's amazing! Her band is amazing. Sings like an angel.
I have always loved Bonnie Raitt's music. Her performance was one of the best of have ever seen. She has got to be the best blues singer and her guitar playing just totally amazes me. I hope she will return to Calgary, if she does I will be there. A little disappointed in the sound, sometime I could not make out her words...not her fault .
Seeing Bonnie live has been a dream of mine since I bought my first album in 1975. She still has the most amazing voice and can't be beat on the guitar.
It was everything and more than we expected. Bonnie is an awesome performer. we were blown away by the surprise visit on stage by Colin James. Very memorable!!
I am not much of a blues lover and only went to see Bonnie Raitt with my Dad for his birthday. I was overwhelmed with her talent, wicked sense of humour, down to earth nature and her awesome skill with a slide guitar. I didn't even know she was on my bucket list and would definitely see her again! She is truly a fantastic performer!
I don't remember the last time Bonnie was in Western Canada, but I am so glad she came. To say that this concert was great beyond words would only be scratching the surface....Bonnie was spot on and enetertained with an ease I have not seen in while....effortless vocals sung with a very true sincerity! She had an amazing back-up band as well (some long time members too), and everyone in the audience was as mezmerized by the show.
This was one of the most memorable concerts I have ever experienced. I would definitely see Bonnie again should Calgary be fortunate to be on her schedule
One of the best live performances I've seen, the quality of the vocals and music is a reflection of a band that has performed together for years
Absolutly Fantastic, Outstanding, Thrilling. Bonnie was so entertaining, giving and masterfull. She is one of the best entertainers ever. She played so well and for such a long time, we could not get enough of her. What a GREAT show!!! Loved it. Thanks Bonnie, come back again soon.
The Bonnie Raitt concert in Vancouver on Friday nite was so full of energy and outstanding music and song. She still has the voice and guitar skills that made her famous (who knew she was 62)!!! Amazing encore - her first song - I can't Make you Love Me" moved the audience and seemed to move Raitt herself. The rest of the encore was simply a great moment in time-- she brought out John Lee Saunder (opening act) AND Colin James for a couple of songs that rocked the house. Great venue - perfect evening!! One thing--- why can't the 'sound guys' do a better job setting up for the opening act-- too many concerts of this type start off where you can't hear the performers words.
