Crowded House on Tour

Crowded House are a multi-platinum-selling Australian rock band who gained fame following their 1986 smash hit "Don't Dream It's Over," which has become one of the most covered songs of the last 20 years. Artists who have covered the song include Paul Young, Sixpence None the Richer, Stan Walker, and The Head and the Heart. These songs and the many that came after continue to resonate with audiences around the world decades later. After releasing their seventh studio album, 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting, Crowded House headed out on a North American tour, with international dates planned as well. The band's new album -- their first since 2011 -- and tour features founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer/keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn, and drummer Elroy Finn. Don't miss your chance to hear these classic songs, and new material, live. Get tickets to see Crowded House when they come to a city near you.

Crowded House Live in Concert

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985 from the ashes of New Zealand's Split Enz by Neil Finn, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour, Crowded House released their self-titled debut album in 1986 on Capitol Records and went on to international success with hits "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong." The first iteration of Crowded House was active from 1985 until 1996 and released four studio albums to much success worldwide. Audiences around the world were coming out in droves to see the band for their freewheeling and interactive live shows. The original lineup performed their legendary Farewell to the World concert in 1996 at the Sydney Opera House before 150,000 fans. In 2007, following the passing of original member Paul Hester, Finn and Seymour got Crowded House back together again with longtime touring member Mark Hart and new drummer Matt Sherrod. Their new album, Intriguer, was released in 2010, their last album before 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting. In 2016, Crowded House was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and during that same time brought back their Farewell shows for four nights of live performances at the Sydney Opera House.

    Fantastic Venue But pricey Consessions

by Jarreau Editor on 2023-05-30Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Venue is amazing! Sunset, CN tower a perfect backdrop for the visiting artists. Only one sour note are the concession prices. I understand its Toronto but geez $14-$17 for a bud? At least make it a nice craft beer for that price. I guess we're all just tourists paying tourist prices aye?

    Neil was in great voice

by dbriggs on 2023-05-30Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Great performance. Neil Finn was in great voice and his sons have injected some youthful energy to the band. Also, they played most of the hits, which was great. A wonderful evening of music, entertainment and memories. Great job Crowded House.

    Crowded House rocked my world!

by FanofGAGA on 2010-10-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I was a huge Crowded House fan since I was 12. I remember asking for Temple of Low Men for Christmas, on cassette, in '88. I was coincidentally on holiday in New Zealand when I realized they were coming to my home town of Edmonton. How excited was I?! Weird that I booked tickets to see them back home while in their home country! When they came on to stage, I was overwhelmed and super excited. A band I loved for so many years were just a few rows in front of me. They had fantastic banter with the audience and the songs were great. My only disappointment, was I waited for the whole show to hear Better Be Home Soon... and they never did it.

    Crowded House in Calgary 2010

by shooter17 on 2010-09-08Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I missed CH last time there were in Calgary so I made an extra effort to get tickets this time. Third row !! There were amazing. Crystal clear and funny as ever. Their music is timeless and sparked deep memories in us all. The setup was simple and effective. Just 5 guys and a few lit ornaments around the stage. There made everyone feel right at home. Especially with jokes about an imaginary friend named Steve Dudas ( a reocurring theme). I've been a fan for a long time and have seen hundreds of concerts. I consider this one a real favorite and a treat for the senses. SAIT was CROWDED that night and everyone went back to their HOUSES happy !!

    What a show!

by Keaner4Life on 2010-09-07Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Such an amazing concert, the boys were in top form indeed! With such a massive library of hits to draw from it would be impossible to play everyone's favorites, however the fact that the Split Enz classic "I Got You" made the set list got me on my feet! I last saw this band in the 1980's when they came to town and I loved it now as much (if not more) than I did then. Thank you for such a great show and please come back soon!

    Phenomenal

by Anonymous on 2010-09-07Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

What a fantastic show! I've been a fan for over 20 years and never seen them live but always wanted to. I was blown away by the talent displayed by all four musicians but truly Neil Finn is a master. I would put him up there with Paul McCartney, Sting and the best of the best singer/songwriters. What a thrill to hear their new songs as well as their deep catalogue of hits and when they played Split Endz - "I got you" - wow! I never thought I would ever hear that live and they delivered thoroughly on that one as well. My husband loved their witty banter and the overall vibe of the show (lights, sound, intimate venue). I would highly recommend this show and will never forget it!

House not Crowded, but fell at their feet!

by Jiminy on 2010-09-05Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The concert was very enjoyable. Crowded House are clearly seasoned performers who know not only how to deliver a great performance, but how to relate to their audience. They welcomed audience commentary, and actually responded to it with clever, clean, ad lib remarks - very refreshing! They welcomed audience sing-along too, and I must say this audience did a very creditable job in response! Of course, it doesn't hurt to have brilliant and memorable material to work with. Too bad it wasn't sold out - Crowded House are not as well known in Edmonton, as they should be. My only gripe was that it was a little louder than it needed to be, for this space and this audience (the quieter songs were a relief). Lawrence Arabia were a pleasant surprise - I hadn't heard of them before. Very competent, entertaining and appropriately humble.

    Crowded House 'WOW' Calgary

by Cazza on 2010-09-05Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

WOW - Mr Finn and Company were at their best on Thursday ! From start to finish .. and they played for just on two hours. I had bought their new CD about six weeks ago and was well 'versed' as to what would be played and as an added bonus some oldies just to keep the vocal cords up to speed. Some of the oldies I had forgotten but remembered quckly .... truly a great concert - thanks Crowded House - will definately go and see them again if/when they come back to Calgary. Lawrence and his Prime Ministers were a great warm up too ... felt sorry for them having to then go and a 26 hour drive !

    Crowded House great Stage Presence!

by Brennet on 2010-09-04Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Crowded House is a band I had heard of before, and know a few songs of theirs but I went with a huge fan of theirs. However when I went I not only found their music smooth and tasteful, but I also found their banter between songs and their playfulness on stage really added to their charm! Overall I wouldn't say they are a must see, but for the price of $50, it was totally worth it and I would definitely see them again!

    Crowded House w/ Lawrence Arabia

by Dirtyduck on 2010-09-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Crowded House was brilliant for half their show, the other half entirely forgettable. Lawrence Arabia seemed like a parody of themselves, I couldn't believe how lame they were.

    Crowded House Rocked the House

by DocDoom on 2010-09-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The whole show was just amazing. I liked how they mixed up their old stuff with the new stuff. They had great energy and it showed in the Crowd. Not only are they amazing musicians they know how to interact with their audience. Learned a new buzz word "Dudis" - ya had to be their to get it. Cheers - can't wait to see them again!

The handful of Edmontonians that were there were treated to a great stage show. The rest of Edmonton really missed out. These guys are right in their prime. Loved every minute.
