Neil gave it tonight! He was there to play and he certainly did! He choice to play all of his hits 😊 Really enjoyed myself along with the rest of the sold out crowd 😎 Keep on rockin Neil 😎😎🇨🇦🇨🇦😊
Neil Young still has his voice, energy and guitar/harmonica skills. He has put together a great band as well. Budweiser Stage is a great venue!
Berlin Waldbuehne, 3 july 2025. No idea what the sound was like in the main area, but high up at the back of this Hitler built amphitheatre, although quieter than I would like, I was pleased that Neil"s vocals were clear, the drums were audible, the acoustic guitar was as loud and clear as the distorted power chords, and so considering that this is a difficult outdoor venue, the sound was pretty good. Walking round the 120 degree sweep, whilst the sound quality changed a little (best in the centre), it still remained acceptable at the edges. I arrived 2 hours later than polanned, managed to park free (illegally) just a 10 minute walk from the stage, waited no longer than 1 minute for a beer, toilets seemingly everywhere, food access easy, audience polite and friendly (and what a huge age range). Helpful and professional crowd staff placed everwhere, but did not get in the way. No idea what the support band was, or was like, and I would have liked 30 minutes more (Neil played for 90 mins), but Neil came on stage, started, and did not stop. getting hey hey my my so early was a welcome surprise, and reflected the energy of the concert. Like a hurricane was wonderful, Neils playing, distortion, singing is seemingly almost the same as 30 years ago (if you expect David Gilmour precision, don"t go to Neil Young...but where else will you get such honed guitar distortion - this is 'honed' in a different way (Neil Young's way). Expected rocking in the free world as the encore, and it was followed by a very 'german efficiency' exit - not chaotic or wild, just a very fast emptying of the stadium to the car parks, streets, and S-bahn stations. A 10 minute walk to my car, to then watch a stream of fans past various buskers, food stands, bicycle taxis with pink lights gave me a feeling of being in Bangkok. Well done to the busker oppoiste my car, in just the time to eat one pizza, who managed short but well presented covers of jethro tull, led zeppelin, black sabbath, deep purple, and neil young ! If you have not been to the Waldbuehne for a concert, you should find one, as the venue is unique (even depsite the 45 final minutes driving just 2km to the venue. Of course, Rome and Pompei have more beautiful settings, and I loved the open air concert in Numich (konigsplatz). However, the Waldbuehne provides a feeling of a summer festival (but with clean toilets, efficient food and drink stands), delivered in a single band configuration, and getting to Berlin from anywhere in Europe is easy (also by train)
I watched my favorite musician and story teller preform in an intamite outdoor setting. He played for 90 minutes in the damp cool night. The sound was fantastic, and it was not to loud. I was happy to pay the $530 for my ticket. Not only did I get to see my idol play and sing very colse to where I live, we all got to help out a very good cause. At one point I could hear the frogs croaking in the background there was so many of them. It brought to me a feeling of sitting around a campfire and having Neil over to play and sing around it. When he played "Long May You Run"It brought chills all through me. I will tell you why. My best buddy from when I was young got me hooked on Neil's Music. He has since passed about 29 years ago. About 10 years ago I was driving home from Alberta As I was coming through Blind River Ontario, I heard "Long May You Run"play from my playlist and it brought a special meaning to me. I had been thinking of my buddy then and voila the song came on at the right moment. I think he was sending me a message through Neil's music. I love Neil's songs and his story telling like no other, they never get old. Sorry for the long winded story about that, but it shows how Neil Young has touched me deeply with his music.
Great show but the logistics of having it in the back field of a farm was a poor choice considering the constant rain and cool temperature.
As soon as we heard rumours there may be a special benefit concert by Neil Young for Lakefield College School I knew it would be something incredible. We waited for the official announcement and finally the ticket sales. Initially we were taken aback at the ticket prices, but it was a benefit for Lakefield College and it was NEIL YOUNG!!! My home is in the Village of Lakefield, virtually across the lake (Katchewanooka) from the Northcote Farm. How could I not be a part of what can only be a once in a lifetime intimate performance amoung neighbours, friends and Neil Young lovers. The rain was relentless and the temperatures well below seasonal. None of it mattered. Neil Young (in his 80th year) was on stage and the stage was on fire. A one man show full of music and love. Every note clean and crisp, every melody and every lyric broke through the mist of the rain and melted into our minds, hearts and very souls. We were treated to many of his classics and a few special songs which spoke to Neil and the audience in ways that cannot be expressed with words. I feel blessed to have been a part of this evening. Seeing and supporting live music is an important part of my life as I regularly travel to various concerts and festivals. I have seen Neil Young in concert before with his full band - one time being honoured with literal on stage tickets. This time however was beyond special. See you around the lakes Neil <3

Neil Young acoustic… Century farmhouse venue… Epic performance. Thanks Neil❤️
I flew from Australia to go to this concert. Back in the day, my sisters and I lived on Chemong Lake and took a school bus to Lady Eaton Primary School in Omemee. I moved to Australia in 1982 and thought I would never see Neil Young live. Well, I got pre-sales as an old-boy from LCS and (possibly alcohol induced) I declared 'bugger it' and got 4 primo seats and booked flights for my partner and I. We took some local friends along with guys from the year of '81. Well, it did drizzle a little bit but we were all appropriately dressed. Neil was amazing, far surpassing my expectations - pitch perfect and sounding awesome. The sound production was also excellent. I am in the airport at Pearson as I write this, on the way home to Perth. Could not have asked for more. Awesome and a bucket list item ticked in spectacular fashion.
Neil gave a great performance. His voice is great for 79. Venue was very good for a one time event . Some people were impatient with the shuttle buses departing the event. I thought it went well.
Great show even in the rain Neil was awesome the venue was great, well organized went off flawlessly. Thanks Neil will remember this the rest of my life.
wow, of all of the incredible shows we have been to around the world, friday night in the farm with Neil may have topped them all! the setting, the sound, the setlist and even the rain made for an unforgettable night
Neil Young in Lakefield was a once in a lifetime experience that far exceeded my expectations! Neil played an unbelievable setlist, including some old classics that he hadn't played in almost 40 years. Every song you'd want to hear from his acoustic catalogue from Harvest, After The Goldrush and other albums were played. He was very engaging with the audience and sounded amazing. With only 2,000 people in the crowd, it was basically like being at a campfire sing-a-long with Neil Young. So glad I went to support this important fundraising initiative. Neil was amazing.
It was wet, damp, muddy, cold BUT all the die hard Neil fans were there! It was for a good cause and I'm sure it paid off. Neil Young never disappoints! This opportunity probably won't come around again. It was my 75th birthday present to myself!
Ignore the entitled whiners who only want to hear 'Cinnamon Girl', 'Heart of Gold', and other radio 'hits' played note-for-note like the record. Neil always does what he wants, and if he's playing electric with a band, then be prepared for extended jams. Sure, sometimes they go nowhere and seem self-indulgent, but it's about the journey and being in the moment, and you never really know which way things will go. When the music peaks, it does so big-time. I've seen him many times since 1986, with Crazy Horse, POTR, and other configurations, and he always puts out, playing every gig like it's his last. For over 50 years he's had the admiration of hippies, punks, grungers, rockers, country fans, folk fans, and everybody else. He must be doing something right.
Neil was fantastic and a pleasure to see, some in the audience on the other hand actually diminished the performance through their actions, it was a disruption to Neil and both he and his fans suffered as a result!
Neil put on a great show. Setlist was a nice overview of his career. Songs were interspersed with personal stories of his time in Detroit, or a backstory of the song itself. Really brilliant and memorable show. Only downside were the handful of morons in the audience shouting out song requests and interrupting Neil's stories with ridiculous shout-outs. You could tell Neil was getting agitated. I've never understood why people feel the need to interrupt a performer during quiet moments in a show. Its beyond rude and takes away from the performance.
I wasn't certain what to expect from Neil, as this was our first time seeing him live. We know that he has a wide range of music and his set list can vary widely. However Neil played exactly what I wished for and needed to hear from him. I am a Neil fan from his very early days with Buffaloe Springfield and CSNY and his earlier solo works and he did not disappoint us!
....and play his wonderful, mellow songs as well. Great show!
