Neil Young Tickets

The first 1/2 hour was good. Played a few oldies but not Old Man & Cinnamin Girl. The rest was basically him jamming with the band, song after song after song and late into the night. The audience was not impressed lots of people left before it was over and so did we.You'd think the old legends would play their hits to please their fans after all thats why we pay big money to attend. Never again.

Neil Young still has it. He knows how to rock and his new album brings real issues north america has to forefront. The promise of the real brought great energy to the show and were a great accompaniment to Neil.

Wow it was absolutely excellent he has chosen young guys with phenomenal talent.....Neil Rocks and is the most charitable rocker I've seen....

Amazing guitar riffs, loved his band. No nonsense with stage set ups & videos just good music. Played for over 2 hours & it seemed like he. Just started. Energy galore.

I have seen many Neil Young concerts since 1971 at Massey Hall. My favorite backup band is Crazy Horse. The guys playing with Neil were not very good. Having two of Willie Nelson's son's clanging away on guitars, as if they got them last Christmas, and a drummer who seems to think loud is better than good, does not complement Neil Young. Maybe he was doing a favour for Willie. Still, I am sure 99 percent of the crowd was super happy to be there(and I am not the 1 percent!!). Cheers.....

should have play more of the old neil young that we know , and less of the jamming with the others in the band , very dis appointed that at the last didn't come out to do OLD MAN , SAD I geuss we have to here it at home on the old CD

The opening act was completely lame--a choir and a preacher-like figure all in white, black top and white collar. The second group's lead singer was a bit of a Neil clone and the band's sound was harsh and loud. Before Neil came on, two peasant dressed people come on stage and sowed seeds from a bag for about five minutes. It was a relevant image for two minutes but then became hokey. The best part of the concert for me was Neil playing solo piano and guitar, old songs from the Harvest era. Beautiful. Then the rest of the band joined him and played many for me new songs with lots of political/ecological themes. I'm a Green Party member so appreciate these sentiments, but it was too much of the same. Politics and art are uneasy partners. Finally, after the lyrical section of the songs were finished, the four guitarists jammed for 5-10-15 minutes. I enjoyed these codas for a while but they became cliches--four guys wanking--sounded more or less the same. This was my first arena concert in decades and I'm not inclined to try another one. Maybe Dylan or Leonard. I prefer smaller venues. A women seated in front of us drank 4-5 beers and was obnoxiously drunk and two guys behind us were smoking pot and didn't stop talking.

Neil was amazing! It was a beautiful array of his classic songs as well as his new hard-hitting stuff from The Monsanto Years. Neil is a rare superstar who really truly cares about current issues we face, and takes it seriously to spread awareness and do his part to enact change. Its actually incredible. The Promise of the Real is an amazing band, and the synchronicity between them and Neil is palpable. As well, City and Colour were an AMAZING opener! A truly, truly magical experience. Worth every penny

We thought lead-in bands left a little to be desired but main attraction great. Super playing by all musicians. Loved the message re our planet as well. High speaker blocked stage view of many patrons. Fortunately most could move over to a few empty seats.

What a great show, loved it! Neil is a Master and a Teacher and one of my all time favorite Canadians. He just keeps getting better, such an artist. Giving those young guys on stage a run for the money. Cool that Willie Nelsons kids were up there. And Love those Guitars. Keep on Rockin' it in the free world!

Neil came up at 9 pm, out of the dark and played After the Goldrush on standup piano. Heart of Gold and more early material. Pump organ! Historic Neil. Band came on and did bits and pieces of old and Monsanto. Neil seemed to get a second wind and the band thrashed and jammed. Cowgirl in the Sand! 2 and a half hours. Good overview of his career. (No Buffalo Springfield or CSN&Y, though, ha ha) Notes for concerts: Got floor tickets indicating rows and seats--not. Was in thrash pit, no chairs--watch out for General Admission tickets. Managed to trade for seats. Organic T-shirts---at $45!!! Rebel Neil?

First off City and Colour is absolutely amazing! Neil Young can still play so incredibly! I do have to say that his GMO and Monsanto songs were a little different, but I do understand that he is a hippy at heart.He must've played for 2.5 hours too!

Second opening act amazing. Great to see Neil Young rocking agelessly on! However, would have preferred a few more of his classics.

Neil Young's still got it! He and Promise of the Real sounded incredible, and they switch up the setlist every night, so you're always in for a surprise. A really good mix of hits and deeper cuts. The extended jams are of course the highlight - I thought my brain was going to explode because of how good they were - at one point I don't think I even blinked for 10 minutes because I was too mesmerized. :) Neil's voice still sounds the same as ever - he is nearly 70 and as good as ever. If you are a Neil Young fan this show shouldn't be missed. (City and Colour opened - they were also great, and fit really well with the show)

Neil Young concert was awesome! Neil and his band played non stop from 9:0pm until 11:30pm. They really got. Into their guitars, especially the last half hour! Absolutely awesome!

Neil is at the top of his game and leaves it all on the stage. Promise are a great backing band - probbaly better than most versions of Crazy Horse.

Neil Young opened with a very strong acoustic session after two starting acts that were unnecessary. The revival gospel group should be called the mumblers, couldn't understand a word they sang. City Light has talented lead singer, but a dime a dozen band with seemingly single themed songs. I guess seasoned Neil Young fans know the drill and show up at 830 - 900 instead of the 730 printed on the tickets. He hit the stage at 9 pm and played well over two hours. In the band set, Neil played quite a few of his hits but too many long, long, long jam sets. One or two is fine. But in fairness that is one of the things he does in his shows. Obviously he has still got it as a musician.

The old stuff was great! I found that at times the music drowned out Neil voice. I did feel like i was at an eco rally as some songs (Monsanto) were repeated.

Just attended Vancouver's concert, started great playing a few old songs, crowd was really into it , singing along, standing , clapping . He quickly turned into a preachy, pretentious enviro blowhard. I understand he has changed as a musician but the majority of his fans there where gray haired old timers much like himself. His first clue should have been the steady stream of people leaving , we left before the end (first time ever) and our section of $150 seats was already 1/4 empty...sad. He should be playing this in Salts Spring Island not insulting us with his fake righteousness, I'm still trying to figure out how he gets all that equipment and person power into a small fleet of Prius's to go to the next venue! If you are a fan of Neils from before 2010 do not attend, if you do , don't drive there, eat anything not grown in your back yard and certainly don't wear clothes you haven't grown and weaved from your hemp farm and be prepared to be preached at by a legend who's lost touch from living in his pampered privileged world. Now I'm off to Costco with my Starbucks to buy green peppers grown somewhere in the States.. sorry Neil but that's life old man.......you should have played "old man", so disappointing

An awesome journey through the past. Plenty of stirring memories with each protest song that fell from his wonderous lips and plectrum.
