  • The Modfather still has it!

by Kel on 2024-09-24History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

After decades in the business, Paul Weller still owned the stage with a 23-song set, a four-song encore, and a two song encore. Not many artists will give you over two hours of entertainment, but Weller did. Opening act George Houston was talented and entertaining, and we loved hearing “Love You To” before Weller and the band came out. The venue staff/security worked very smoothly. I’d like to see more non-alcoholic beverage options, but otherwise, great venue and and excellent performance.

  • Weller Brilliant!

    by PK & KAZ on 2024-09-19History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

As usual, PW was fantastic - always good. We paid more for Floor Box South tickets and was frustrated to see a round black column holding up the balcony over obstructing the view. Fortunately we could peer around it, but many deeper into the box could not. Ticket buyers beware - front left corner closest to the stage is the obstruction.......which was not mentioned when we paid 'box' prices for our tickets! Secondly, slight issue that the Ticketmaster UK platform would not let us download the tickets for this Toronto gig....we needed Ticketmaster Canada......which we could not download in the UK. Your phone is your ticket - screen shots & paper copies (which we had) are not allowed. Make sure you can access your tickets, live for scanning at the venue, prior to attending. That aside - Paul Weller & the Band were awesome.

  • Bucket list ✅

Paul Weller did not disappoint! It was a fabulous concert and the venue is great for an intimate concert setting! Seeing Paul Weller live was a bucket list concert for me so I was happy he sounded so good and was so engaging and funny with the audience ❤️

  • Weller in our hood

by TO Gigs on 2024-09-17History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was our 7th time seeing Mr Weller & The Modfather didn’t disappoint. Paul played a good 2hr set, a nice mix of old & new. Many a gig he’s rarely brought out many Jam or Style council tunes other than throwing us a parting encore classic from the past but this gig was the perfect mix of all we love. History was the perfect venue, intimate but spacious, accurate acoustics & for us locals far enough away from TO’s nightmare traffic congestion downtown. 66 looks & sounds good on you Paul, ta for coming to town 🎶👏🏼

  • Paul Weller and his band were stellar. A whole 2 hours!!!

by Nancy on 2024-09-16History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I liked the venue (it was my first time at History in Toronto, however it was very challenging to hear the vocal discussions between the performer and the audience, when upstairs. It’s too bad as I like the back and forth. Otherwise I liked the venue.

Excellent show from start to finish. Thank you Paul & Co.

  • Extortionate beer prices !!

by The Boy About Town on 2024-09-16History - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Paul Was superb. Band was superb. This new venue HISTORY in Toronto, is gouging at the bar. FIFTEEN dollars for a can of beer? Extortionate pricing is not cool.
