About

With their riff-heavy hard rock, California’s Queens of the Stone Age have become torchbearers for the brand of distorted, head-banging rock popularized by bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters. 2013’s …Like Clockwork – their first album in six years – proved that time had not mellowed their hard-edged sound, earning praise from critics for its thrashing intensity and landing the band their first No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Tracks like “My God Is the Sun” and “I Sat by the Ocean” showcased their bridling ferocity and worked their way up the Alternative Songs chart, leaving little doubt that QOTSA are as on top of their game as ever. Founded in Palm Desert in the late ‘90s, the band would release several albums before teaming up with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters on 2002’s hugely successful Songs for the Deaf, which earned the band their first Grammy nomination for hit single “No One Knows.” On tour in 2013, the band has been taking ticket buyers by storm with their muscular sound and their visually stunning live concerts.

  • An absolutely amazing show

by Fauts on 2025-10-08Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

High expectations when it come to Queens. They did not disappoint. The stage show, new arrangements and the setting were all incredible. Just hoping for a concert film or live album from this tour because it would be great to relive these moments.

  • One for the Ages!

Queens of the Stone Age always put on a great show, but this was on a whole new level. As a fan, it was nothing short of a religious experience. But, as my wife can attest, even the socks of non-fans of the band were blown off.

  • Amazing

More bands should be doing this stripped down amazing reimagining of their work. The theater and the performance were absolutely top notch. The accoustics were phenomenal and Josh Homme was as usual a ten out of ten, huge kudos to the rest of the band as well as the orchestra!

My experience with ticket master and the Queens of the Stone Age show was excellent. I had absolutely no issues with Ticketmaster and using the mobile app for our tickets. The concert itself was AMAZING. I’ve been waiting 20 years for the chance to see Queens.

  • One of the best show this year so far

by Carol on 2024-04-28Place Bell - LavalRating: 5 out of 5

The Struts were great as usual What a shame only 6 songs.... Queen of the stone Age, the band I did'nt know, are now one of my favorite band, so good live. And watching the crowd was electric!!! althought the sound was getting louder as the show was going, at the end it was a bit too much...Overall we had a great evening!!! Loved the venue ; place Bell Laval!

  • Almost Perfect

by Chris Katar on 2024-04-23Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 4 out of 5

I must admit that I didn't know what to expect. I was very glad that I could hear The Straits, one that open for Queens of the Stone Age. I must say it was better part of the concert. It was my first time to see either band live. The only thing that I can complain about is the mixing of sound. Besides few feed back sounds, the lead singer was not clear or loud enough to make it perfect. If I could, I would give 4.5 stars, just because of sound mixing.

  • Amazing

    by Madman 902 on 2024-04-23Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

I've been fortunate enough to attend many concerts in my life - rarely missing a Halifax act. I have to say, last week's QOTSA show was one of the best I have ever seen. The encore may be the very best I've seen... it was simply amazing. For being the final stop on the Canadian Tour, there certainly didn't seem to be any lack of energy from Josh the boys! They blew the roof off the place! If these guys are ever passing through your town - you'd really be missing out by not checking out a show... hell if they are playing twice, buy tix for both! On a final note - they also handle tickets in a different way, using the secure ticket approach to keep costs lower and help deter scalpers. Only cost me $120 for lower bowl, and was worth every cent!
