About

Driving guitar solos and throbbing rhythms make up the heavy metal produced by Orlando-based metalcore outfit Trivium. Since their start in 2000, the four-member band has sold more than a million albums and toured alongside other big-ticket metal acts like Iron Maiden, As I Lay Dying and GWAR.

Their most recent effort, “Vengeance Falls,” surfaced in October 2013 and landed at No. 15 on The Billboard 200, as well as in the Top 10 on Japanese and Australian album charts. Along with a discography of six full-length records and a healthy U.S. tour history, Trivium has also handled concerts throughout Europe, Japan and Australia.

For the 2006 collection “The Crusade,” Trivium frontman Matt Heafy took a slight departure from his metalcore scream to deliver more traditional singing vocals that some compared to Metallica. That album debuted at No. 25 on The Billboard 200, and Heafy went back to his signature scream for the follow-up, 2008’s “Shogun,” and subsequent releases.

    Pretty decent show

by AJ on 2022-10-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The sound at the front of the stage could have been better, and some of the people on the floor were pretty awful and were touching my girlfriend inappropriately and I had to throw them off. Other than those two things which were out of Triviums control, amazing show. Openers killed it and Trivium was as good as ever. New drummer is absolutely killing it.

I selected the VIP backstage package, and it was every penny spent. The band played absolutely amazing.

    It was awesome

by Cher on 2022-10-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Trivium was awesome. The feedback made it hard to understand Matt and the band before them sucked. But that’s not on the band. Trivium was amazing.

Trivium is not the same without Matt.

by GregariousGregor on 2018-11-02Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The lead singer did not perform with the band. He was away expecting the birth of his twins. Good for him, bad for the fans.

    Trivium blew the place up

by TheWiseMetalhead on 2017-11-10The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

In 2017, I have seen Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Alter Bridge, BFMV, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps live. But, Trivium is Just UNBELIEVABLE live. I can go on and on, but to sum it up, if Trivium is coming to your town and you're a metalhead - BUY A TICKET and I GUARANTEE you will not regret it.

    Great bunch of Guys!

by Firejackel on 2010-01-17MACEWAN BALLROOM - CALGARY

Dirge Within were a great opening act for this show. They were able to get in about 8 songs from their upcoming debut album. I had the opportunity to chat with “Glass” after their set earning alot of respect from me. Hope they will be back soon. I didn’t really care for Whitechaple with there 3 guitars. They had about a 40 minute set playing around 8 songs as well. I think if the 3 guitars were much more diversified it would be a better show. I have been wanting to see Chimaira for a few years and finally got my chance. These guys put on a great set playing a good combination of new and old songs. Chimairs set was just under an hour consisting of about 12 songs. Hopefully they will be back as a headliner in the near future. It was about time Trivium got up to Calgary again. This was my first time seeing them and I wasn’t disappointed. The show was about an hour and a half with about 16 songs that covered all their albums. I had a meet and greet after the show and the guys are quite down to earth. Had a good quick chat with each member and then called it a night.

    Would definitley see again!

by GoldDustWoman on 2009-12-01The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

They had a great selection of songs, with lots of oldies and newbies. They played hard and most fans seemed to have left with what they expected.

AWESOME SHOW!!!! Can't wait to see them again- great opening bands. Chimaira and Dirge within were great, but Matt Heafy is so good at getting the crowd going. A wicked night, for sure.

    Great Band , Horrible Crowd

    by doommachine666 on 2009-11-26Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Well first off this is my first time seeing these guys, they happen to be touring for two years straight and performed amazing, but in all honesty the crowd was the worst crowd ive ever witnessed in my life. It wasnt a sold out show but this band delivered everything they had, but the crowd was lamer then kanye's outburst with taylor swift, barely applauding after each song( either too drunk or too tired). When the show was over i felt terrible for the band, and disgust for the people at the show, you paid to see a metal show, so create the atmosphere. I tip my hat to trivium for keepin the ball rolling .

    Trivium Metalized

by LBEE on 2009-11-26Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Was only there to see Trivium. The set list was a bit weak. I wished they would of played more of the new album Shogun. The regular drummer wasn't playing on this tour, bit bummed on that. Had Center front row. The sound mix was mushy, but the overall passion from the band made up for it. Had a fantastic evening!

    Trivium FTW!

by Cydthesquyd on 2009-11-25Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Excellent performance, despite some technical snags with Corey's guitars. Matt really knows how to keep the audience pumped full of enthusiasm. And they played all my favourite songs! Rock on, Trivium!

    OMG, AMAZING

by butterflyp on 2009-11-25The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! where do I start? I have been a fan for a couple of years now, have all the albums, listen to them all the time, but have never had the privilage of seeing Trivium live until now, and OMG, they didn't disappoint! the band was amazing, and Matt was one of the best frontmen I've seen, getting the crowd right into it, and coming off stage 3 times, right next to me, one time!! he seemed genuinely happy to be there, along with the rest of the guys. I couldn't take my eyes off Cory and his amazing guitar work!! my only regret is that I didn't get closer, for fear of being swept into the crazy hole of children that seemed more into smashing into each other than the actual music that was happening!! but that's so typical these days, and i think i was the oldest female there, in fact one of the oldest people in the crowd!!! but I didn't care, I would watch these guys everyday if i could, and was dissappointed to hear they won't be back for some time! I just wish they would put on a show in Regina, so I don't have to travel everytime they come to canada!! we definately have a venue to play at and we need more music like this here!! great show, i'll never miss them again, and i appreciated the old and new music, since i've never seen them! awesome guys, rock on!! dirge within - only caught the last 3-4 songs, but i was impressed, I'd go see them again whitechapel - not impressed - 3 guitar players? really? all playing virtually the same thing, hardly a solo through the whole set, and you couldn't even hear the bass, wouldn't see them again - sorry chimaira -also impressed, bought a shirt and a cd, i'd definately go see them again
