Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around,” which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band’s best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995’s Insomniac and 1997’s Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band’s biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” After 2000’s Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day’s first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009’s concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

COME TO TORONTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this concert was one of the best shows i have ever seen. These guys killed it!!!! got me hooked on the group. I ended up seeing a second show on this tour because it was so awesome. 3 hours of rage and love!!!!!!!!
We travelled from Vancouver, Canada to LA for this concert and it was absolutely amazing! Best part of our trip!
Green Day have great energy and until you seem them live, you don't realize how many great hits they have. It was amazing to see such a cross section of fans as well. They put on an amazing show, so much energy and crowd participation. I've seen them multiple times and they are usually politically charged, this time was no different with the political climate in the US. But they preach open mindedness and love and acceptance. It's great.
Great concert with fun atmosphere. They rocked for a solid 2.5 hours. Loved every minute!
These guys don't age...great energy, awesome show. Played for over 2 hours and played every Green Day track I wanted to hear. Loved it!
One of the best shows I've ever been to. They played all their hits and then some! Waited way too long to see them for the first time!!
