Bakar. Live in Concert

Born Abubakar Baker Shariff-Farr in North London, his first musical love was hip-hop. Despite knowing that he wanted to pursue a career in music from an early age, Bakar. became more serious about the passion when he branched out his style into indie rock. In 2017, he released a handful of singles including "Big Dreams" and "Something I Said," that caught on in the underground music scene in London. A year later, Bakar. released his full-length debut project Badkid, which earned critical praise from London musical icons and kingmakers like Elton John and Skepta. Bakar. followed Badkid with his biggest hit to date, the bluesy and easygoing single "Hell N Back," which was the featured single for his 2019 EP Will You Be My Yellow? In 2022, Bakar. released two leading singles, "The Mission" and "NW3" for his sophomore album Nobody's Home, which was released in February 2022 and quickly caught the attention of fans and critics, including The Guardian, who called it a "spectacularly strong sense of place."

    Incredible!

by Cheryl on 2022-05-23The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

We are slowly returning to live shows post-pandemic and Bakar was our second since 2019....he was fantastic! Such a great mix of chill vibes and energy at the same time. My only complaint was that it wasn't long enough!

    Disappointed

Super late to start. 45 minutes concert after driving more than 3 hrs. Pretty disappointed. Certainly not about respecting fans time.

Great experience. Bad audio + lights

by Brando on 2022-05-23The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Audio was turned too loud for most of the concert. There was a light that was blasting into the upper deck for hours right into the crowds eyes. Multiple people were wearing sunglasses to deal with it. It gave me a migraine. Bakar was pretty good but the overly loud audio made the music a bit hard to hear at times.

    Forty bucks for 45 min

by :( on 2022-05-22The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Terrible sound, only him and a dj, no opener. Missed opportunity to get local talent to do accoustic guitar or vocals instead of just singing over a track. Short show after a long wait
