OAR left it all out on the table for this one

by OARfan on 2009-09-08Kool Haus - Toronto

Another great show from the boys from Rockville, MD. Last show of the tour and they left it all out on the table for this one. Did not know much about Brett Dennen before the show, but he was fantastic. Great to see both bands joining each others set. The cover of Paul Simon's Obvious Child was the highlight on the night. The only downside was the venue, once again the sound in the Kool Haus was awful. I hope to see OAR in a different venue the next time.

I had a great time! It was my first time seeing them in person. They were so full of energy and always did something to involve the crowd. The entire venue was full of energy.

    What a Show

by AngusMacDhuie on 2009-07-15Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

O.A.R. are probably the brightest young talent to arrive on the rock scene in years. They are versatile in their "stage" performance; most bands today just stand there on stage and play. I can hear that on a CD without going to a concert. Moving the band to the front of the stage with a solid backdrop for their acoustic performance was like a new performance altogether. Their music is fresh and meaningful. They are a clean-cut and polite group of guys. I would go back and see them in a heartbeat. Hope they keep producing the kind of CDs as their last. Hope they come back to Red Rocks again, 'cause I'll be there again to see and hear them perform. Well done guys!!!!!
