THE OFFSPRING IN CONCERT:
One of the most famous punk bands of all time, The Offspring are still igniting audiences with their explosive live shows. In concert the band delivers impassioned performances of audience favorites like “Come Out and Play”, “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)”, and “Gone Away”. With spitfire drums, catchy basslines, and distorted guitars, the band blasts their way through their songs with an adrenaline-fueled blend of polished musicianship and devil-may-care attitude. Coming off their hugely successful Smash: 20th Anniversary Tour, the group is keeping their hot streak alive by bringing their incendiary live shows to audiences around the world.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Offspring formed in 1986 in Huntington Beach, CA with original members Dexter Holland (vocals/guitar), Greg K. (bass), and Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman (lead guitar). Behind the strength of hit singles “Come Out and Play”, “Self Esteem”, and “Gotta Get Away” the band’s 1994 breakthrough album Smash launched them to international superstardom. They followed up in 1997 with the platinum-certified Ixnay on the Hombre, adding the hits “All I Want” and “Gone Away” to their impressive catalog. Their eclectic 1998 album Americana proved that they were one of the era’s most potent and versatile hit-making machines with the serious tone of megahit “The Kids Aren’t Alright”, which stood in stark contrast to humorous singles like “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job”. Since then the band has continued to record and release material, including the double-platinum Conspiracy of One in 2000. While working on a follow up to their 2012 album Days Go By, The Offspring continues to bring their music to legions of fans worldwide.
Such a good time , one of the best concerts I’ve seen this year.
They should have played more of their new songs as the new album kicks ass but Dexter did do iano Gone Away so that was awesome. If they played 6 days straight I'd go every time. Abbotsford Center however is a horrible venue. In the middle of nowhere, parking sucks, long line-ups for drinks. I never like going to this place.
The concert was amazing, the venue was perfect! They killed the show and put on an amazing performance.
I got thrown up on but a very drunk guy. The venue should not be over serving
This was an awesome show Offspring kicked butt onebof the best concerts of the year!!!
Simple Plan Amazing, band really gets the crowd going! Drummer crowd surfed, Crazy! Best entertainment ever during the intermission. Great music and Gorilla! The Offspring was great still loving the concert 3 days later! Can't wait to see them again!
Great show and good opening band. Enjoyed the night for sure
The band that never dissapoints and seems to never get old . The best venue by far for this band as well , not to big not too small. The droid mosh cam at intermission is brilliant , got crowd laughing and pumped up , i mean who is the brainchild behind a Offspring balloon with a camera ? Well done
Fantastic show! I would definitely go see them again. The vocals were great, and not off key like many bands. The band was amazing, and kept the crowd going from start to finish. The crowd was amazing, singing along (loudly and clearly) to almost every song. It was a high energy show held in a great venue. Can't wait till they come back!
Simple Plan got the crowd going first off. I don't know alot about the band, but I am familiar with a few of their songs. They were pretty entertaining. Offspring were great. Played their hits. Everyone had a fabulous time. I am glad I had the opportunity to see them and I will again.
Loved this show. None of that silly waiting around, trying to build up the anticipation. Show opener started on time, played for an hour. Once they left the stage, the roadies did a fast and efficient gear swap, and the Offspring were on stage. Turnaround was maybe 15 minutes. The Offspring sounded good, were clearly having fun, and obviously still like to make music. Venue does need more beer venders, or better ones. I stood in a line of 10 people for 15 minutes… and there was a two drink maximum. Guy making the drinks was fast, but the woman taking payment couldn’t remember what I had ordered, RIGHT after I placed the order.
Seriously the best concert I’ve seen in a while. Great combo of old and new songs and the vibe was wicked.
Offspring put on a great show. I was skeptical about Simple Plan but they were also entertaining
Great venue. Phenomenal performances by both bands! Fun crowd. Great memories
It was my 6th or 7th time seeing the offspring and probably my least favorite of all the show i have seen. First the negative: Caught Influenza at the show. So thanks to whatever jackass brought that out for the night The sound guy took 4 songs to fix Dexter's mike. Was there no sound check? It should not have taken that long to sort that out. There was a pocket of about 20 girls left center stage where every crowd surfer got droped to the floor I'm sure someone got hurt in this area Noodle needs new jokes. I get that not everyone has seen them as much as me but they were old 2 shows ago The Good: Haven't seen Simple plan in at least 15 years. Were better then I remembered Large crowd with good energy 3.5/5
I don't normally leave reviews, but The Offspring was great. However, the real reason anyone went to that show was to see the opener, Simple Plan. Even 20 years later, their songs still bring tears to my eyes like I'm 13 years old again! Ahhh, the memories! With songs like I'm Just a Kid and Addicted, how can one not not get nostalgic and pay $50 for a 25 cent t-shirt? Anyways, best concert ever! Even my cousin who was only 5 when Simple Plan came out knew all the words to every song!
Do you have to rape us with the drink prices? That’s ridiculous!!!!
It was a great show was looking forward to it for over a year second time seeing simple plan and they were so good 1st time seeing the offspring and I think they were amazing
The Offspring concert was absolutely fantastic! The band was so good. It was just like sitting in your living room and listening to their CDs all over again. The only thing I really didn’t care for is that the masses don’t understand what “floor “means… It means everybody gets to enjoy it wherever they’re standing and if they would like to move that’s fine to do so.
From the beginning of the line up things were calm and not rowdy . When at our seats it was relaxing but wild energetic vibe. The music sounded like I thought it would sound Just Awesome .
